My name's Christie Shinn and I'm a self-taught artist who, upon graduating high school, took a years-long expedition away from my native Canada to follow an obsession with surfing. Along the way, I discovered motivation, inspiration and opportunity for my art, which created many new and exciting journeys as a transient artist/surfer. I eventually found my chosen home and a community of supporters on the North Shore of Oahu, where I have lived for several years and continue to base myself seasonally.
