What inspires you to compete?
The love I have for the sport! My first DH race was in 2001 as a sport. I was thrilled by all of the people spectating, and competing. And the feeling that I had while in the gate counting down! Then I saw that racing was pushing me to be smoother and faster. So that I could beat my competeters.
Describe your style...
My style, I would like to think of my own style like a river. Smooth and swift, and when possible accelerating to the max. I dont know, I like to ride smooth in the tech, and fast in the open. With a bit of attitude everywhere!
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I live in Big Bear so in the winter I am in the Gym, lifting and spinning. The rest of the season I ride cross country three times a week. Road ride one day a week. Try to hit the jumps once or twice a week. And do DH runs once a week.
Why do you compete?
For me, the first time that I was on the podium, I was hooked. Competing pushes me to achive a bigger goal each season. I have won a fair share of races, there is not much that is better than that, for me! I am due! I want it!
How's Life Treating You?
Today, my life is honestly pretty great. I could not really complain about a single thing. Well I could but I hope that no one would listen. Everything is good. I live in today, and today I am happy and having fun!
