What inspires you to compete?
Well, when my dad was a kid he rode motocross, but he quit before he got seriously into racing. So i tried riding and loved every moment of it and decided to pick up racing where he left off, and hopefully get to be really good and make him and my whole family proud.
Why do you like this sport?
I like the sport because it is so fast paced and you really have to love the sport to do it and progress in it. You have to work hard on all aspects of riding in order to win races, if you lose focus for a split second you can crash and there goes your season. I love the fact that with one move you can eaither win or lose it all.
Describe your style...
I would describe my style as all out all the time, I always ride on the gas and I am not afraid to get close to someone or block pass someone in order to get ahead. My all out style describes me in motos and in practice too.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I train about 3 to 4 times a week. I run on two days and weight train on the other two. On the running days I practice my holeshots, and on the weight training days I practice berms and turns, and pretty much every day I practice wheelies for fun and to help me out with my balance. Other than those i go riding about 2-3 times a week and my friends and i race to practice everything. Then at the end of the week i go to the track and race and see how much ive gained out of the week of training.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
My dream job would be a pro national racer. But i know the chances of that are slim to none with all the great riders out there that started off way earlier than me, so if that doesnt work out I would love to be a mechanice for a pro racer just to be aroung the sport. I do most of the work on my bike other than suspension and its my favorite thing second to riding.
