Overview

How I got started

I had a 50 when I was little and rode in a field near my house. I had a couple more bikes as I grew but I never raced. There was a length of time when I didn`t have a bike because my family moved out of town. When I entered high shool I decided I wanted to get another bike so I bought a brand new YZ250F. I rode it on practice days at local tracks but, again, still didn`t race. Last year I decided I decided I wanted to race so I did a couple times every few weeks. I finally stepped up my program, bought a new bike, and raced every weekend I could. The rest is history...

Goals for the Future

For the 2009 season I am will be competing in the B class. I will be competing in 250B, 450B, and collegeboy. My goals are to compete in the B class at several big races on the east coast like kawasaki race of champions, outdoor nationals, and loretta lynn's qualifiers. I will also compete in local races for District 7, MDRA, and the Delmarva MX Series.

I have recently been competing in many pitbike races.  I plan on going to several national pitbike events throughout the year including the East Coast 2up Mini National Series, Masters of Mini, Arenacross Series, Motorama and many more events.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

I am a naturally competative person. My entire life has evolved around school and sports. I think my athleticness and desire to compete runs in my family. My father played collegiate football, semi-professianal baseball, while my mother played division 1 field hockey in college. My grandfather raced motorcycles as well as go-karts with my grandmother. I have many goals that I want to achieve and I like to think of my family for inspiration to do well.

Why do you like this sport?

If I could do it everyday of my life I would. I love the speed, the jumps, the berms, the ruts, and everything. I enjoy being at the track even if that means getting up at 5 in the morning and seeing the familiar faces of my friends and competitors. This sport is my passion...

Some Personal Information About Me:

I enjoy playing sports. At one point in my life I played football, soccer, baseball, golf, wrestling, raquetball, and roller hockey in one year. As I entered high school I narrowed those sports down to baseball and golf. Actually, one of the reasons why I have only raced for a few years is golf. I persued golf as a way to get into college and I played on many different tours so I know what it takes to be competative. I was offered scholarships to play golf for multiple institutions but I decided that wasn`t what I really wanted to do. What I really wanted to do, and what I loved, was race.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I have a workout schedule that I adhear to at least three times a week. Running and biking are included in my training. At the gym I go through a series of core exercises including abs, chest, and thighs. Periodically, I perform strength tests to make sure I am always impoving myself. Occasionally, I also play sports like volleyball, baseball, and raquetball for crosstraining.

Schools Attended

I graduated high school with a 3.75 g.p.a. and I am currently a sophmore at the University of Maryland at College Park. Engineering is my chosen area of study and I hope to someday work in the motorcycle industry.
