Overview

How I got started

I got my first bike on my fourth birthday, but didn`t race until i was I think five or six. I raced in the Georgia Dome twice on my PW50. Then I started racing again, when I got my Honda CR80. Then i moved up to a KX100, I tried for Loretta`s that year but I had some bad misfortunes. Then I got two 2001 RM 125`s for my 15th Birthday and started racing very heavily every weekend and training. Then I broke my Clavicle and was out. I came back and went to the Loretta Lynn`s qualifiers in the South East and I made it to the regional in youth stock and modified. I had some very bad luck with some bad crashes and didn`t qualify. The next Year I got a 2002 YZ125 and was racing the C class, I was doing very well this year. Then spring rolls around, and I go to the first South East qualifier for Loretta`s and was running 3rd and cased a triple, broke my arm really bad and was out for the season. Then in `03, I got a 2003 YZ 250f and a KX 250. I was doing very well that year, but bruised my Kidney in the Fall. I came back strong, But then In a practice at a race I came up short on a big double and broke my arm the exact same way and place again. Luckily I came back in time for the last area qualifier and made it to the regional In 125 C mod, stock, and 250 C mod. I still wasn`t a 100% by the regional and crashed out. In 2004 I progressed a lot building confidence down at the milsaps training facility, and at the Winter National Olympics. I moved down to Orlando, FL to train full time and take some classes at the University of Central Florida. I am able to ride about 5 days a week now. I have a good group of guys that I train with everyday. Last year I had been trianing really hard and broke my foot right before Texas nationals. Then came back and I was the fastest I had ever been coming into Loretta Lynns qualifiers and I broke my collar bone in practice at the aonia area. I had already qualified for the north central region, so i thought i would still be ok. Then the docter releases me to go ride and it breaks again, because it was not a 100% apparantly. I go up to minnesota for my regional 4 weeks after two breaks in a row with no docter clearance. I was not able to qualify because of my condition but tried as hard as I could. I will never give up!
