Post Whistler
I got home from Whistler about a week ago, and what more can I say except that I had a great time. While I was out there I got to ride with a few friends from West Virginia who were also there, as well as several employees of Whistler. On my last day there I was able to do some riding with Ryan Schenpf (spell check on the last name), who won Airprentice it`s first year and that was a great experience, he is a very talented rider and just following him for a day I feel like I got faster and smoother. I was hoping to return to Jersey for the race on the weekend of July 2nd and reach the podium, but due to 2 hard crashes in practice (without armor) and the heat I wasn`t used to, by race time on Sunday my body was pretty beat up. However I was able to do okay and get 31st out of over 70 racers, the times at Diablo are always close, 3 seconds faster would have put me in the top 20. So now my goal is to continue training hard and riding as often as possible so I can get onto the podium for the next Diablo Race in August.
