Beginning of Season
Diablo Freeride Park (my local mountain) opened 4 weeks ago. Since then I`ve competed in two races. The first was the Diablo Domination Race #1. I placed 45th out of 88 in my class. I feel I could`ve done better in the race since when I practiced the course it was dry, but then was wet during my race run. Also I`m still not in the physical shape I would like to be in. The second race was the US Open. I qualified 52nd out of 300 Am men riders. I was able to drop my time by 9 seconds during my final race run the next day, but some how dropped 10 positions and ended up 62nd. Again I feel I could`ve done better, but after looking at the results I realized that if I was 2-4 seconds faster my position would`ve changed dramatically. I race again on July 2nd, and go to Whistler June 20th. So until then, so long.
