How I got started
I starting riding when I was 5 years old when my parents gave me a Yamaha 80 for Christmas. My father was involved in hillclimbing in Southern California and we frequented events such as the Widowmaker and the Great American Championship Hillclimb in Billings, Montana. I competed at many local hillclimb events in Southern California and the Widowmaker when I was younger. It wasn`t until 1990 that I discovered desert racing. I raced for two years in AMA District 37 before entering the Army in 1992. The Army kept me too busy to ride so I sold my bike and it wasn`t until 2002 that I started to ride and race again. During my first year back in racing I placed fifth in points for 250 riders in the Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada (MRAN) as an amateur. I am currently a Vet expert rider. I raced every AMA National Hare and Hound in 2003. I finished the 2003 season fourth in points in the AMA FMF Racing National Hare & Hound Series as a 250 expert. I also placed third as a 250 expert in the 2004 Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada (MRAN) desert series. For 2005 I was fifth in the Vet 30+ Expert in the AMA National Hare and Hound series, and first in points in the Motorcycle racing association of Nevada (MRAN) Vet 30+ Expert class. I am currently the 2007 over 35 champion MRAN.
Goals for the Future
Sucessfully defend my #1 plate in 2008 . I also plan on participating in every AMA National Hare and Hound in 2008 and placing in the top three in the Vet 30+ expert class when the series concludes. I also plan on racing all of the MRAN races in 2008 and taking another 35+ Expert championship.
