I hope so. This winter has been crazy for the northeast. I can't remember the last time we've had this much snow. Thankfully, over the last couple of weeks the weather has cooperated and most of the snow is gone. I've finally been able to get out on the bike, and even in the woods! Although I was still freezing.. =] It's kind of funny how it happens. At the end of every season I manage to stay pretty motivated. Then when it snows, all I care about is not riding. That usually lasts about a month, and then I find myself here. It's like a flip of a switch and I'm suddenly more motivated than ever to get to work. Today I was in the gym sweating and it was like fire in my veins thinking about the upcoming season. As for comps there aren't many listed yet. The folks at Meta have put together an indoor event to be held with the international bike show in Toronto coming up March 13th - 15th. There are already a few east coast Canada high rollers registered. As for me as long as I can get my passport issues sorted out in time I'll definitely be rolling in to represent the states. Past that things remain the same for now. I just wanted to put some thoughts down, I got tired of looking at the same front page..=] peace out homies..

The end is here, the 2008 season is in the books. This year was tough. I went from dominating in the opening rounds, to mental breakdowns in the sweltering heat, back to working harder then ever after a serious regrouping effort, and finally feeling like I was on top of my game again at Mount Snow National Championships. All the effort was in preparation for the world renowned Trialsworx, held in conjunction with the Crankworx festival in Whistler BC. Although I didn’t come away with a win, I feel like I performed well and am pleased with the effort. One thing’s for sure, the level of competitors has really come up, and next year will not be any easier.
I have a lot to be thankful for from my sponsors. First and foremost, Adrian at Unique Trials.com came through in huge ways not only for me, but for our sport as well. The folks at Maxxis, Six Six One, and Motortabs were great to me this year as well, keeping me well stocked with hardware and software. I couldn’t have done it without the help of Pedal Power, the best LBS in CT. These guys are phenomenal friends, and I’m proud to know them. I know that all sounds like a fluffy NASCAR victory speech, but it’s true. In a sport as small as bike trials, it’s amazing to me to have this kind of support, and I’m grateful.
As for the offseason and next year. Despite some letdowns this season, I still feel like I accomplished what I was after. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks thinking about what it will take next year, and the only thing that sticks out is “a new level.” A new level for me, and a new level for US trials. I plan on foregoing another UCI World Championship because of the expense and travel time, and instead plan to keep progressing in preparation for the 2010 worlds in Mont Sainte Anne. I have been considering a UCI World Cup round possibly in Barcelona for 2009, but I’ll have to decide by the funding and support I have when time draws near. Overall though I’m healthy, and in the best shape of my life, it can’t be too bad.
Otherwise I’m going into hiding for the next month or two. I’m getting married in October, trying to start a career with a new company, and really just want to focus on some “not bike stuff” for a little while. I do want to sincerely thank everyone again for their support, and I’m looking forward to representing you again in 2009.

Well in about a month it will be time to roll out to Crankworx to finish out the season. It certainly hasn’t been easy this year. With some personal hurdles in the way, bad weather, and the competition really stepping up they’re game. I’ve found myself working harder than ever to stay with these guys, which has really been motivating.
This past weekend was the USAC National Championships at the ever popular Mount Snow. “OG” Jeff Lenosky came out and put on one of the best events I’ve taken part of in my 12 years of competing. The crowds were actually excited watching us, wanting pictures, autographs and cheering for more. It felt like the glory days of trials again. And if the rumors are true, the folks at Mount Snow can’t wait to have us back.
I’ve just finished my training plan for the next few weeks leading up to Crankworx. The riders out in B.C. are no joke, and if the rumors are true there are some heavy hitters coming from the elite ranks over seas as well. Me, I honestly can’t wait to get between the section tape again. If there’s one thing this season has taught me, it’s to compete against the sections, not the riders – so bring it on sukkas.. =]

Hey everyone..
Well the season has started. After the first 2 comps of the season, well I’m pretty wiped out. Last weekend, June 7th and 8th was Trialsin.com comp at the 24 hours of Big Bear in West Virginia. Vaughn and the boys set some great sections, some of the longest I’ve seen in a while. There were also a ton of splits for negative points within the sections, which made for some great competition. I had a great day on the bike, felt a little tight, but everything came together for me really well and I walked away with 1st place in elite.
This past weekend was the NATS series opener in Richmond, Virginia. What a day. The heat and humidity were out in full force. The sections were long, and really challenging. For me it was a roller coaster ride filled with some good moments, and some really bad ones. I never was able to pull my brain together and ended up placing 3rd in pro. I’m glad it went down that way though. Catching a beat down every once in a while really makes you focus on the negative aspects of your riding, and makes you better in the long run I think. With a lot of work planned, that’s what I’m going for anyway.
The rest of the season is looking pretty good. I’m still debating on making the trek out to Raccoon Rally for the next NATS event in a couple weeks. July will be busy with the Trials Training Center NATS event in Tennessee, and Mount Snow nationals in Vermont, leaving only a couple weeks till the granddaddy Whistler Crankworx. Thanks to everyone for their support up until this point. And if anyone sees me out there, throw something at me and say hello. =P
Peace..

ONE YEAR. . TWO NATIONAL TITLES
This past month, at the USA Cycling National Championships in Mount Snow VT, I took home my 2nd consecutive national title in the PRO Modified category. A few weeks later at the 7th round of the North American Trials Series in Richmond VA, I took home first place making me ranked FIRST PLACE OVERALL in the series PRO category final standings.
The N.A.T.S. title is a first me, and a huge accomplishment. For the last several years I’ve placed second in the series missing the title by only a few points. Also making this victory especially sweet, is the defeat of one of my oldest rivals, who also happens to be the absolute toughest competitor still around.
Now that the Nationals are over, it’s time for me to focus all my energy on the UCI World Championships. I’ve been training at some capacity 7 days a week for the last 2 months, and this month leading to the event will be nothing different. I’d like to thank all my friends and sponsors for your support; you have all played a huge role in my success this season. This month however, I need your help more than ever.
The trip to Scotland with the Team USA will cost upward of about $3000usd. At this point I’ve raised about 200 sponsorship dollars believe it or not, with the rest coming all out of my pocket. I’d like to ask for any financial support that may be squeezed out of the budgets to help. Please contact me via email at diebikers@comcast.net if you would like to contribute.

So it's finally over. Had a good winter, spent some real cold days on the bike. Now that work has slowed down it's time to turn it up and really start focusing on the 2007 World Championships.
2007 National opener in Keyesville went pretty well. If nothing else it proved I need to spend some more time on the bike. It was good to meet some new people, and see some old (some real old) faces. Masashi I. (ranked 12th in the world BIU circuit) took it down, good ol' Jeremy V. took second, and yours truly rounded out third. This year's west coast events are really going to be close with these guys coming out.
I added a couple of small comps to my schedule for the summer. Highlights will definitely be Whistler, Tennessee, and of course Scotland.
Finally I want to thank all my sponsors. Maxxis came through big this year with a catalogue spot and some major support. 661, and Motortabs have also been great with keeping me going. Big thanks to all the people who checked out my profile. I wish I could get it the way I want, but this new version really sucks, sorry Rich.
If anyone sees me out there be sure to say what up yo! If I don't pay attention, hit me in the back of the head..
peace yall..

So even though it seemed we were going to skip winter here in New England with a 70 degree day in January, it's finally here. Yesterday's ride with big dog Tom L. at purgatory topped out at about 20 degrees, freezing water bottles and camel backs. Riding was good though, and I think we proved it'll take more than cold and even snow to stop us from training this winter. Work at the gym has also been going really well, my trainer has come up with all sorts of new ways to torture a brother.
Not to sure when the comps are going to start happening this year. Motorama cancelled on us for the first time in over ten years, and NATS, well who knows where NATS is for this year. Good news is that the UCI World Championships in Scotland are definitely happening, and there's rumor of a World Cup round coming to Lake Placid which would make the year.
As far as media goes, there's been some cool stuff going down with Maxxis, due to come out in a month or so. There have also been some crazy local rides/videos/pics being put out by Tyrant BMX and company. Other than that, it's a typical winter. Ride when you can, hit the gym when you can't, keep your head down and stay focused for the spring.
See you after the thaw....
Seacrest.. I mean peace out.

This year’s annual Bike Jam at Pedal Power Bike Shop was a huge success. Thanks to all who came out and of course all my sponsors, especially MAXXIS & MOTORTABS who supported the event. Without your support, this event would be another backyard jam that no one would care about.
Huge thanks to Tom Ligon from coming all the way down from Boston to ride and Erik Then for lugging around his setup in a U-Haul, as well as doing the media coverage. Also mad props to the BMX guys who absolutely killed it all day, along with flatlander extraordinaire Josh, the only guy out there that gets less recognition than trials riders for what he does. Last but not least, thanks to my homeboy Steve for all his construction/video expertise
Take a look at some more of the photos from the event, video to follow soon!

Well the 2006 season has finally come to an end. It was a lot fun traveling around the country and beyond seeing old friends. I wish I could have made it out to New Zealand with the rest of the US team this year, best of luck to all the guys and gals though.
So now it’s the off season, well not really. Just tuned up the road bike, and had my trainer develop a new program for the gym. I’ve got some big plans for UCI next year, as well as going back to Whistler to find my dignity.
Biggest demo coming up in my home town in a couple months, along with some media plans to celebrate the NORBA National Title, keep an eye out.
Huge thanks to all my sponsors for keeping me going this season. As corny as it sounds, I wouldn’t have made it through without all the support.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2007, enjoy the winter… =P
