Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
My dad got me started out on a xr100 in 2005. I gained interest because my dad raced when he was in his early twenties, and watching the X-Games on T.V. I remember watching Travis Pastrana, and being amazed at what he could do. I even had a little toy dirt bike of his, and I would make tracks in my back yard for it and pretend to race. haha. Then in 2007, me and my friend were talking, and came up with the idea of racing, so we both went to the track and began riding motocross instead of trails like we had done for two years before. I excelled much greater than he did, and I am now training and eating better, and riding much more.
List your competitive highlights:
At the end of my first season of racing, I won a 125 beginner class race, and then later that day, I got 3rd in the Open Beginner class. I got 6th place overall in the 125 beginner class during the Thursday Night series at Hannegan Speedway for my first year of racing as well.
What are you planning for next season?
Right now I am training, working out, and eating healthier. I plan to train for the rest of this year, and come next year, I plan to be competitive and possibly win the 250 JR class. I also plan to travel with my friends and compete in different series state wide, including amateur days at Washougal MX park.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Winning my first race was a huge step for me. Also, becoming a better rider than a friend i met at the track who used to be much faster than me. Also, becoming a better rider always inspires me to do better yet, so every time I learn something new, or knock even one second off a lap, that is a great accomplishment for me.

What inspires you to compete?
The thrill, and becuase it is fun. Also, it pushes me to become a better rider, and a better person as well.
Why do you like this sport?
I love everything about it. The people, the riding, the thrills, the excitement. Whats not to like?
Describe your style...
I dont really have a style, I just do whatever. I dont follow people. I guess I have my own style.
Music?
Anything really. Hip hop, rock, metal, acoustic, etc.
For riding, I love listening to metal, it helps get me pumped up so much. I feel like I ride that much better when I listen to metal before I hit the track.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I am interested in a CAD/CAM career or something along those lines. I am attending ITT-Tech in Everett, WA in the summer of 2009 for drafting and design.
