Overview

How I got started

I started out by running to get back in shape. After a while I did a 10k running race and almost placed in my age group and so decided to see how far I could go.

Goals for the Future

For my 2007 goals, I will be attempting the edges of the unknown territory for my body. I will do three 24 hour mountain bike events and an Ironman to finish of the season. The threshhold of pain is going to be high. So that's where my second goal is going to come in. Not to come into the season already toasted and burn out. So recovery will be high on my priorty this year. So it will be race/recover over and over. Also would like to qualify for Kona Ironman Age group championship for 2008 and break 9 hours at my Ironman in Florida in first week of November.

Bio

Describe your other interest:

I love to cook, try and eat all organic foods, watch CSI, watch world poker tour.

Describe your style...

My style is to hammer as fast I can go intel I can`t go no more. Take a days rest and then keep on going. Im always told how crazy I am with my training but I dont really see that, just determind.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes I train, then train some more and more. My schedual is crazy. I work full time, 40-50 hours a week. I will get up every morning at 3:30 and train for two hours. Then when I get home from work I will train from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm everyday. And the weekends are even crazier, 6-10 hours. Its taken me 5 years to get this far in my traing. It hasnt always been this insane. Im just glad I have a job otherwise I would train all the time. And not because I have to but because I want to.

Why do you compete?

I like to see how far I can push myself and thrive on competition. Its amazin what you will go thru on a 10+ hour bike ride or race. I love the race atmosphere.
