Overview

How I got started

I became interested in the sport when I was on vacation in Vermont. I soon bought a cross country bike but later bought a downhill specific bike. I began riding with several sponsored riders who helped me improve, and it seems I have been continuously improving in the past year.

Goals for the Future

I am planning to compete in many more races and also lead my collegiate cycling team in improving themselves as riders.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

In the last few years I have done several competitions for freestyle skiing, including slopestyle, big air, and halfpipe. I won Bear Creek Ski Area`s Showdown Series and had so much fun, I decided to race my bike during the off season.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am the president of my college`s cycling team, and am a current member of the Dirt Devils, which is a local mountain bike advocacy group. I have also been certified in Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try to be out on my bike 5 days a week for several hours in a shot. I work on basic freeride skills and most of all just go out to relax from schoolwork. I also run when I can`t ride and lift weights routinely.

Schools Attended

I am a current student at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I plan on graduating in 2007 with a degree in accounting.

Competitive Highlights

I competed in several races in the collegiate circuit this fall and had several top 10 finishes. Freeriding, I have hit the Reading Airlines, which was a 40 ft stepdown gap in the Duryeah Downhill event.
