Overview

How I got started

One day one of my friends showed his Yeti Dh9 to my brother who thought it was awesome, so he got one; in turn i thought it was awesome and knew I needed to get into the sport. I`v ridden bikes and dirt bikes all my life so riding Downhill and mountain cross bikes just seemed to come easy and natural to me. Very fun as well.

Goals for the Future

After a very successful semi-pro season I will be racing as a pro next year for Rotec Cycles. I plan on traveling a lot attending venues like the US Open, World Cups, Norbas, and also the Mountain States cup series. I would like to do well in the overall in both Norba and MSC race series. I will again be riding against my brother and we will likely push the limits and each other to improve and get as fast as possible. My main goal is of course to keep racing as fun as possible all the while performing consistantly at a high level week in, week out.

>> Top 20 at the US Open and Norba's

>> Quilify for a world Cup

>> Top 10 at Mountain States Cup races

What inspires you to compete?

To progress and become the best rider i can be. Sports are my life, so i`m a very competative person and always give it 100% I compete also to gain real life experiences, meet new people and travel from destination to destination, seeing the sights along the way makes the experience that much better. Racing mountain bikes is a great oppurtunity for me to do great things and brouden my horizens, especially just being only 19 years old.  Racing and striving to be the best is a ton of fun!

Some Personal Information About Me:

This is the third year I have been involved in racing Downhill and Mountaincross bikes, yet I have been riding all my life. I am a sophmore in college attending Front Range Community College. I`m currently the presedent of  the FRCC Cycling Team. I graduated and recieved the Senior who Made a Difference Award and recieved a1000$ scholarship for my efforts. During my high school career I was very active playing soccer, football, and baseball. I also participated in downhill ski racing. I stay very active mountain biking, skiing, climbing and dirt biking. I have been ski racing at a high level receiving many accolades throughout my racing career. This year I have achieved many of my goals. Next year I have higher expectations and will have many goals to fulfill. Moving up to Pro for next years season will require off season training and workouts. It is the most competitive class and will push me to climb the ranks and improve each week. I will also continue to have fun and perform at my highest level. I believe I am a great candidate for sponsorship. I am a hard worker, a leader with a lot of potential. I have a ton of fun and will put forth the effort to succeed.

Describe your style...

I would descibe myself as a laid back life loving guy who loves to have fun. I do like to stand out in other peoples minds for the way i ride. Traveling is expensive so I camped at every race trying to save money for race fees and bike parts; so i guess sometimes i`m kinda dirty yet i really enjoy camping and living life in the outdoors for the summer, its like a tradition. Enough about my lifestyle. My riding style is best described as: you will ussualy hear me before you can see me. I'm a very  balanced all around rider. I tend to plow through rock sections but i`m working on being smoother as well as sharpening my skills dirt jumping and riding urban, still learning. I`m fairly rough on bikes, but i go fast.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I would love to be a successful proffesional DH mountain Bike rider. I feel the way i`m progressing there is a chance if i fully commit myself. If racing dosn`t work out I would more then love to stay in the mountain bike industry possibly being a photo journalist, that would be sweet. I`m also recieving my college education and if i find something to specify in and enjoy doing, I wouldn`t mind doing that. If i could do something i enjoy doing in the outdoors that would be awesome, i just want to enjoy life and my job, specifically outdoors! I`m thinking about being a marketing major, that could land me a job in the mtn bike biz.

How's Life Treating You?

I`m having the time of my life right now! Traveling, racing , winning. I`v been on such a great hot streak the last half of the season i don`t want it to end. Hanging out with my family, brother, friends, riding bikes; what could be better? College ain`t bad either. Things are good.
