Hey guys! Things have been super busy around here. Training, training and more training. Last weekend I raced a state qualifier at one of my favorite tracks, Manzanita Park, in Prunedale. Brand new track rebuild and people are lovin it! Ended up with perfects all weekend, so knocked my state points up quite a bit. Currently sitting #1 so kinda stoked on that. It was a fun weekend, got to see some awesome people and ride a great track, what more can you ask for?
Tuesday me and Brad headed down there again for some practice, my 4th lap in I was trying to jump a step up on first straight and ended up going OTB. Broke my tailbone, awesome. The national at Manzanita is in 2 weeks and you better believe I'll be racing, healed or not. I need the national to get my last 2 qualifying races for Grands. Which by the way is in 50 days, and counting :]
Picked up a new sponsor a few weeks ago, First and Lexington. These guys are awesome! They've got some hella sick clothe so be sure to check out their site! firstandlexington.com.
Anywayyy gonna figure out what I'm doing today, I hate not being able to do anything. Killin meeeee. Late!

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted a blog until a few minutes ago, haha. Been hella busy lately. Just graduated high school (WOOO!), tryin to get a job, riding, riding, and more riding. Racing's goin pretty good this year. Still rockin the unsponsored gear, working on that as the year progresses. This year has been my year of injuries pretty much, tore my MCL in vegas at the national in March. Then I fractured my collarbone at Fresno at the state race. Finally back and fully healed up. Sitting state #1 at the time, scoreee :]
Lately I've been trying to figure out if a national number is even an option this year.....not too sure, but I guess we'll see what the future holds. I'm determined, so I guess all I can do is try my hardest. If it doesn't work out, there's always next year.
I'm starting college in just over a month, now that's scary. Just a community college for now, then doing San Francisco state in a few years to finish up my degree in psychology and minor in marine bio. The goal is to be a dolphin trainer, and nothing's gonna stop me. I got it allll planned out :] haha
Anyway, lovin California, of course. The boyfriend is great. Racing is going good. All in all life is awesome right now. Gonna go make some dinner.

Wow, after about a week STRAIGHT of rain rain and yes, more rain, IT'S SUNNY!!! We've been having to put off our normal training and only hitting the gym because the roads have been to wets to do our normal gates and sprints. But finally, it's sunny and nice today!!! We're leaving in about 30 minutes for Gilroy, it's gonna be so nice to be able to do gates again.
So this week's shapin up pretty nicely. Training is going good, it's sunny out, and I graduate in just a few months! Thank god. I can't wait to get out of high school. Anyway, I gotta go get ready.
Late!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope everyone has had a great day :] Mine was pretty good. Me and Brad headed down to Fisherman's Wharf and went to Bubba Gump Shrimp for lunch and walked around Golden Gate Park. It was really fun :] This week has been nothing but training, training, and more training. Been heading down to our good friends house down in Gilroy. He has us on a strict training schedule now, 14 gates along with 3 block sprints. Doing that 3x a week plus the gym. Guess the real test on how it's helped is gonna be Nellis.
Feeling a lot more confident in my riding now, getting school work done, almost done with high school. Life out here is going pretty good. Anyway, I gotta get going. Dinner and the heading to bed early tonight because we have training at about 9am tomorrow. Late!

While I may have lucked out and escaped the snow in Minnesota winter, California winter is nothing but rain. So I haven't been able to ride for the past week, lovely. Also just looked at the 10 day forecast, it's supposed to be like this until about february 16, that's over a week! ugh. I guess that means double time at the gym....joy,
Nellis is in less than a month, I'm pretty excited, but I'm nervous too. I lost a lot of speed over the 3 months I couldn't ride at the end of last year because of my shoulder and Nellis is going to be my wake up call to how my training is going, that is if I get clearance to race from my doctor when I go in on the 3rd *fingers crossed*
Just picked up 2 new sponsors, Spy (who I had last year as well) and Fuse clothing. I put the links for their websites at the bottom of this blog, be sure to check them out!
Life's been pretty good, I'm getting closer and closer to graduation so I'm pretty excited. Senior slide is starting to kick in though, been slackin on the work haha.
Perris national in So Cal was this weekend, I'm betting that is a mud race right about now, hope everyone took their tear offs :] lol. Good luck to everyone down there though, wish I coulda gone. Oregon is in about a month and a half as well, gonna head up there since it's the week before my birthday and I'm from Oregon.
I'm just ranting now, I'm gonna go wake up my boyfriend and get some breakfast then head to the gym. Late!

Hey everyone, I know I haven't done a blog in about a year. My life's been so crazy lately. Well now, I live in California with my boyfriend, so I get year round riding :] My shoulder has been all kinds of messed up. I'm goin to the doctor on Feb 10 and see what I have to do to get it 100% again, or close to. My skills have gotten wayyy better. My boyfriend Brad has been helping me out a ton. So now that I know I can ride for the 09 season, I've set my goal for the year. And that's to podium at NBL Grands. I can do it.
Been at the gym everyday and riding pretty much everyday. life is awesome out here. I love being able to ride in the winter. I also picked up a new sponsor, Pretty Tough. It's a girls company that encourages girls in extreme sports, check it out!
I was planning on hitting Worlds this year, but my injury set me off my bike for about 4 months of valuable training so I'm gonna skip this year and head to South Africa next year. Mainly gonna race NBL this season, ABA is just a little bit too much drama for my taste. Got some awesome friends out here that I couldn't have gotten as far as I have without. You guys are awesome :]
Anyway, I gotta face reality and do some homework, graduating high school in June! FINALLY! late

Well I wasn't expecting to do too well going into it. I still wanted to make my mains though. Right after Grands I had taken a break from training and that really showed in Reno.
I didn't make my mains and I crashed 2 out of 3 days.
I flew into Phoenix on January 9 and got to be with my best friend Dani. Spent the night at her house and we left on Thurs night. 14 hour drive and Alan [Hudson] drove straight through. Pretty impressive. We got to our hotel at 6am on friday, that wasn't including the 45 min it took to unload 10 bikes from the truck haha.
Practice was fun, got a pretty sweet pic courtesy of Jasen Krenek. Friday was just a kinda crash early night. Races on saturday went smoothly. Both my friends Dani and alyssa did great. I would have made it except the girl right in front of me took down 3 riders in our class including myself.
Saturday...haha we almost got kicked out of the hotel. Me and my friends were apparently being too loud playing Twister....go figure =]
Sunday racing was fun as well. Met some pretty cool people but I always hate sundays because I have to say goodbye to all my friends.. I had fun though and thats all that matters.
My next national will be Desoto and I'm going to be making top 3. Fer Sure.

Wow I cant believe it's that time already! It seems like only a few weeks ago I was anticipating november which was a few months away, so that I could do grands. And now I leave in 4 days! I will be making the 18 hour trip with my friends Patty and Mckenna Koth. It should be a blast!
My main goal for this year has been make my mains at Grands...so lets hope. I really want to. And I know if I set my mind to it I can do it. Just the whole intimidation thing, I've got to get over that haha. Anyway.
This is going to be my first year...needless to say Im pretty excited. I can't wait to see all my friends that I havent seen since Rockford or the Minnesota national. It should be a great time! I'll be sure to keep you all updated on how I am doing.
To everyone that's attending, GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE TRIP!!!!!!
See you guys there!
