The single greatest moment of my season was this weekend. July 1st was my first race in the famed "Northwoods GP" at USA International Raceway in Shawano WI. It was a beautiful day. I managed to qualify first! This was a milestone for me and the wiley YZ80! We qualified .340 faster than the next racer.

I lined up for my first race at pole position and the rain started to fall. My Dunlop slicks just would not heat up enough to stick to anything and I ended up crashing out in the first lap. Fortunately it was a nice gentle lowside. Both the bike and I are fine, just a little bruised and have a little added character! :D Of course the sun came out as soon as my race was over!!!! Ah, next time! It was just a great accomplishment to quailfy first!!!!
