I Steal From Transworld Interviews
How you got started:
I saw my first skateboard in 6th grade (believe it or not), but I never tried it until 8th grade, when my best friend rode over to my on his board. Since then, I've been hooked.
What you do when not skating:
I usually play guitar and hang out with my girlfriend. Or I'm drawing up deck designs and ideas for tattoos.
Dream skate session:
The YAY! plus Joel and myself crew skating the GT Plaza up in Yuba.
Favorite video part:
Justin Figueroa, The Beginning.
Goal for this year:
Be a better person.
Competitions?
How did you get started?
To tell the truth, I never planned to compete. I just thought it sounded fun. I don't skate competitively, I have fun with it. I don't know, trying to be better than someone takes all the fun of out just skating for yourself.
What are you planning for next season?
Not really sure yet, maybe enter a few more comps and try to see how I do skating alongside everyone else.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Entering a competition in general. I never pictured myself doing it, maybe later on in my career. But they say you have to compete to go anywhere these days. I guess you just have to go with the flow sometimes, and I guess I accomplished taking new steps.
