Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
My friends and sponsors got me involved with compititions a couple years ago.
List your competitive highlights:
I was NC state champion for my division at the local INT tournaments and I placed 5th at nationals in 2007. This year I am 2nd place in the state of North Carolina in Expert division and am going to California to compete in October. I finished 12th overall at Nationals this year in the Expert Division.
What are you planning for next season?
Just to have fun and progress as much as i can and help other people learn how to wakeboard. I plan to compete again and hope to be able to enter more tournaments next summer.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment has to be in my progression this year. I went from Jr. Novice last year with no inverts to Expert division this year 12+ inverts and multiple spin variations. I was able to drive the boat this past summer and assist in giving wakeboard lessons. I was also able to help take out several kids for area children's homes that wanted to learn to wakeboard.

- Favorite Trick: I like anything that I can take really big and stomp it clean, but have some technicality to it.
- Favorite Event: Atlas Wake Series
- Favorite Rider: Randall Harris
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
To see how I compare to other riders of the same ability and to meet new people and promote the products I'm representing.
Why do you like this sport?
It's the only thing that I truly enjoy doing. I cant get enough of it! its just too much fun! You can always hang out with friends and family while wakeboarding.
Describe your style...
I have lots of amplitude and do tricks my own original way but I love to make my tricks look effortless and clean with some technicality to it.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
Haha, Well when I was first learning backrolls, I was in a contest and i had not landed one yet but I was like OK just go for one if I make it through my run, so I did. but when I did, I threw it way too early and like barely got any pop and landed right on my head and I could see some people laughing at how dumb I looked and thats about it... but I did get 2nd at that comp so it was all good.
Music?
I like pretty much any kind of music; anything from Bob Marley to The Game to Social Distortion.
