On August 25, 2007, the CMA held their Barrie ½ mile flat track national. This was their first race since #8 Chris Miller was killed in a crash. This was my first race on a ½ mile track. We got to the track around 1:30pm, got a parking spot and went to sign in. I had to race in the 450 Novice class, because they don’t have a 250 Novice class anymore. I don’t have a 450 yet so I had to ride my Yz250f. Not a big deal I guess, just I won’t have as much power as they will. We got the bike unloaded and I got all my riding gear out. Then it started to rain, really hard. I thought they might cancel the race. The front straight away was soaked, but after getting the grader out on the track they were ready to start practice. My class was second to go out, the first were the 250 Int/Exp. I have never been to a ½ mile before, so I went up to watch as I was putting my helmet and stuff on. It was amazing, they were so fast! Now it was my turn to go out. They gave us 4 laps. It was so much fun. When I came off I couldn’t stop smiling. Now was the heat race. I was 2nd to the inside and I got a great start! I was the first one off the line. But it didn’t take the 450’s very long to catch up and pass me. I was coming out of turn two, when the rider in front of me slid out. I was too close to him to try and miss him, so I went over the back of his bike. I almost made it out ok, but then I crashed. My left hand got pinched in between the handlebar and the clutch. I got back up and pushed my bike off to the side of the track, got it re-started and finished the last 2 laps of the race. Finishing in second to last place. But luckily I still made it to the main. I came off the track and my fingers were throbbing. I took my left glove off and my finger was bleeding, it was nasty. I made sure I could still pull the clutch in, I could, but it hurt pretty bad. But I wasn’t ganna let that stop me. In the main I was 3rd to the inside and got a great start. I was in 5th when two other riders behind me went down. So they stopped the race and made sure they were ok. Now was the single file re-start. I was placed in 5th. Got a great start and kept 5th place to the finish. That was sweet! I loved it and cant wait for my next ½ mile race.

Hey everyone...I crashed at the Welland motorcycle club this past saturday.....It was in the 450 nov class on my 250 and I was in 3rd place out of 13...Trying to get passed 2nd place.... when on lap number four #26 that was in 2nd place hit the guy's rear tire that was in 1st place #08...... He started to slide out, but then his rear tire came back and hit my front tire really hard and fast ..... I got thrown off my bike really fast, I didnt have any time to try and save it.....Came down from being in the air and landed right on my butt, slid for a while and came pretty close to hitting the wall.......Once I finally stopped I just laid on the side of the track.....My butt hurt so bad......After a few seconds went by they stopped the race and my dad and mom came out on the track, to make sure I was ok and helped me up...Luckily I was wearing my Cool Skunk leathers...I got to try them out..lol...They worked great...I got back to my bike that had been taken off the track and saw that the front end was a little messed up and the stabilizer mount that goes on the frame was bent ......The officials came over and said that they had called the race and I was done, so I was happy about that...But then about a minute latter they changed there mind and said they were now going to re-start the race........So I had to go back out and race.....We tryed to fix my stabilizer mount but couldnt really get it back to the way it waz...... I got back on and went back on the track........I wanted to go back out and race......They did a single file start and put me in the 3rd to last spot.....There was 13 riders all together.......So I was pretty much screwed by that point......I only had 4 laps to get back up to were I was before...... I did work my way up to 8th place.........It was a great night before my crash!! My butt is still pretty sore....But I will be ready for this weekend....I'm off to Batavia Motorspeedway in Batavia, NY on Thursday night, Friday at the Monroe County fair in Rochester, NY, Saturday at the Welland motorcycle club in Welland On. and then Sunday at the Crusaders TT track.......I hope I can get some great resultz and have a bunch of fun....I will get some pics for sure.....Wish me luck!! Thanx!! Oh and if you'd like to see the pics of my crash go to my photos section on my site.....They are really sweet!!

Only the top two from the 125cc, 250am, 250 Exp. , Open am, Open Exp and Senior, get to go to the Grand Prix!! They stager start them by bike size and class, to make it more even.....I could not believe I made it in on my Yz125.....My Yz125 was working awesome!!Thanx to my mechanic Josh Traxler and my dad...I was a little nervous going up against the Big Boys!!lol....But once I got out there it was a lot of fun riding with them all..It was a great honor to be riding against them...I ended up taking 9th place out of 12 riders....So I wen't down in history and made one of my goals for the 07 season!! Hey everyone!! Here is an update on my racing the past couple weeks…On Friday, June 1st….I went racing at Batavia Motorspeedway 1/8th mile oval in Batavia, NY….I entered the 125cc, 250am and the open am classes…. I went out for practice and I was feeling really fast that night… Now the heat races….In the 125cc class I got the hole shot and won the race…In the 250am and open am classes I took 2nd in both…. The main races…In the 125cc, I took the hole shot again and won the race!! In the 250am, I actually got the hole shot…But #12 Jeremy Higgins was right behind me…With about 2 laps to go, he tried to go to the inside of me…But it didn’t work… He caught his foot peg or something on my rear rim and went down…..Sorry Jeremy…I was hoping it would be a photo finish but it wasn’t…I took the win over 2nd place by a half of a lap….That was the first time I beat Jeremy in a main race….That was pretty cool….After the races I looked at my rear rim and there is two big gouges in it….I thought it was pretty sweet!! Kinda…lol….Now the open am race…I took the hole shot over Jeremy again…But this time he was on his new 450..With about 3 or 4 laps to go, he passed me on the out side…So I took a 2nd in that class….Once again a great night of racing!!
On Saturday, June 2nd, I went for practice at The Welland motorcycle club, in Welland, ON….It’s a really fun 1/4th mile clay oval…That was the first time I’ve rode on that track, so that was a day to try and get the hang of the track….I got to go out 4 times at 6 laps each…So I got 24 laps in that day, I was feeling pretty good on the track and was ready for the first race the following Saturday…… I also got to wear my new leather provided by: Cool Skunk racing...Thanx again phil...
Now the Double Header Weekend!!!
Starting on Saturday, June 9th….At Welland Motorcycle club in Welland, ON….I got to the track, went to sign up and found out they only had 3 riders wanting to sign up for the 250 novice class, including me…So I had to run my YZ250f in the 450 novice class….There was 14 riders in the class…..Only 3 of them were 250’s and all the rest were 450’s…..I went out for practice and was feeling ok….The track was a little slippery, so I was just taking it easy…Now the qualifying race…They separated the class into 3 different races to qualify for the final…. So I was in a race with 5 racers…That was including me…I got a bad start, because they do there starts really weird at that track and I wasn’t used to it yet..But I worked my way from 5th to 3rd…..Now the final… There was 13 riders….I started in the second row…This time I got a better start and came out of the corner in 7th place…Then on the first lap I passes 3 guys on the outside in turn four….So I got 4th place…..Not too bad for my first time….Right??? I will be going back this week to race again at that track…..I’m hoping to do a lot better this time….Maybe I can get a win before the season is over….
June 10th at the Crusaders Motorcycle club TT in Medina, NY…A.K.A. Medina TT……This is the 50th year anniversary for the Crusaders….Its also the first race of the 07 season!! And the first time I get to ride my Yz125 and 250f at that track….I was really nervous on how I would do that day…With 2 new bikes I didn’t know how I would do…Both my classes the 125cc and 250am classes were back to back….So it was going to be hard…I went out for practice and was feeling alright on both bikes…The track had a lot of stone dust on it, so it was pretty hard to ride….But it was fun!! Now to the heat races…In the 125cc I had a 2nd row start….It took me almost the whole race to get by most of the other riders, then I made it up to 4th. In the 250am, I got a pretty good start and came into the first turn in 3rd right behind #12 Jeremy Higgins and #3 Travis Wyman…I kept that place to the finish….Now the main races….In the 125cc, I got the hole shot and held off #96 Cody Johncox for about 2 laps…Then #11 Cole Parker Yauchzee started to catch me….I held him off till the last lap….I messed up just enough to let him by….Nice racing Cole…So I took 3rd place….If I would have got 2nd I would have taken the white flag around for the first time and went to the Grand Pix….I would have been the first girl to ever make it to the Grand Pix…That would have been awesome…I hope to make it to the Grand Prix once this year!! In the 250am There was 12 riders in the main, 3 didn’t make it in…..I got a second row start and came out of the first turn in 7th…Then on lap 2 I worked my way up to 5th…. I kept on messing up after that…The rear tire on my 250 is shot and I think my suspension is to stiff…. every time I would get on the gas, the bike would want to either high side or slide out….I was getting pretty mad at my self and my bike….I wanted to go a lot faster, but my bike wasn’t working right….I did the best I could with the way my bike was….I ended up in 8th place….Not too bad for my first race….
I will be going racing at Batavia Motorspeedway on Friday and then at Welland on Saturday…..So wish me luck!! Thanx

Hey everyone!!..I went racing at Batavia Motorspeedway 1/8th mile stone dust flattrack in Batavia, NY…5/25/07...I was finally getting the hang of riding my bikes again!! I entered the 50cc pit bike, 125cc, 250am and the open am classes….In practice the track was really wet and had a bunch of stone dust on it….Even though the track was wet, I felt pretty good on it.. So I was ready for the heat races…First was the 125cc….I got the hole shot, kept pulling away and went on to win the race… In the 250am I surprised myself… I got the hole shot and held off #12 Jeremy Higgins, the whole race and I went on to win….It was a close, clean race… In the open am I did the same thing…It was great!! So I got a 1st in that class too….In the 50cc pit bike, I was riding my sponsors Pw 50… It didn’t have a lot of power, so I got 4th place.. Now the main races….The track changed a lot and not to my liking….All the stone dust had gotten pushed to the outside and there was a blue grove… In the 125cc class, the other rider that was in the class didn’t race because of bike problems, so I got to ride by myself…I got 1st…In the 250am, I messed up on the start…I had the hole shot until I went to shift up to 2nd gear, missed and went into neutral..That sucked!! I was trying to get passed 2nd place, but could not do it….He hugged the inside and I could not pass him…So I took a 3rd place….In the open am class, I did a little better, went off the line in second….I was right behind #12 Jeremy Higgins, but could not get close enough to pass him….Nice race Jeremy!! So I took 2nd….In the 50cc pit bike class…. I didn’t race the Pw 50…..Instead I raced #4D, Derek Uschold’s TTR 50….Let me tell you what, that bike rocked!! Thanks to the Uschold’s for letting me race it!! I went on to win the class!! Sweet!!! I will be racing at Batavia this Friday and then I will be going to practice at Welland motorcycle club, in Welland, ON., On Saturday…. So wish me luck!!

Hey everyone!! I attended my second race of the 07 season, this past Friday night…..It was at Batavia Motorspeedway 1/8thmile stone dust flattrack in Batavia, NY……I entered the 50cc pit bike, 125cc, 250am and the open am class….I went out for practice and wasn’t doing the greatest….The track was too wet, so I was all over the place……But I managed to hold it together and not crash… Now the heat races….In the 50cc pit bike, it was just me and my brother Josh, battling for the lead….We were side by side the whole race….On the last lap coming to the finish line, I was on the out side and my brother was on the inside of me, he almost got me…But I stuck my foot out and blocked him, so I got the win by a foot..lol… In the 125cc class, I got the hole shot….I was in first place coming into turn #1, on lap 2, when another rider came in and ran my left foot over and that made me fall really fast onto the ground…..Dang!! That sucked!! I was in 1st place and was beating a couple of really fast guys…..But now I was on the ground….So I got up, pushed my bike to the out side of the track, so the other racers would not hit me and re-started my 125 and finished the race….. I came back in the pits and I was pretty mad!! Lets just say..lol…. But I just blew it off, whatever!! In the 250am race, I got the hole shot but coming out of turn 2 #96 Cody Johncox passed me for the lead…Then I held off #11 Cole Parker Yauchzee for about 3 laps, but he ended up passing me..So I got 3rd….In the open am class I got 3rd too…Now the mains… In the 50cc pit bike, I got 2nd…My brother actually beat me by a half of a lap!! Nice race Josh!! In the 125cc, I had back row start, because I got last place in the heat race…..I would have had a choice were I started if I would not have gotten taken out, but I did…So now I had to work my way through all of the slower riders….It took me about 4 laps to work my way through….But before I knew it I was in 4th place, right behind the guy that made me crash, in the heat race…I was trying every line to get by him, but he would just block me….Oh well, that’s racing….So I took 4th in that class…In the 250am I got the hole shot, but could not hold off #96 Cody Johncox and #11 Cole Parker Yauchzee…..Nice race boys….So I took 3rd in that class….The open am class was a whole different story….I got the hole shot, #96 Cody Johncox, stalled his bike on the starting line, sorry Cody…And I had an easy lead for about 2 laps, until #11 Cole Parker Yauchzee came up behind me….We battled for the rest of the race…I managed to hold my line and took the win…..I only got Cole by a little…..It was a close clean race….Nice race Cole!!!! That was my first win of the 07 season on my 250…WOO..So that was my night of racing…..It turned out to be really good….. I will be racing again this Friday at the same track…So wish me luck….
Till next time….
