The 2009 running of the Ford Mammoth Motocross event held in Mammoth Lakes, California was what I would call absolute amazing. I have never seen such great racing, and again the atmosphere was fun and easily going like always. If you have never been to the mountain to race or even just watch this event, you are missing out on by far the greatest raceing of all time. The event just has a great vibe to it. There is great racing but also fun at the same time. AXO America was up there for the entire 12 days taking care of the AXO sponsored athletes as well as informing the public on the products that we have and the products that we are working for the future. I want to give a big thanks to everyone on the mountain that made this year’s Mammoth race another great one.

I want to give a huge thanks to all the AXO Riders that showed up to race the event. I’m sure I will forget a few names here and I’m sorry but I will do my best to include everyone.

Bobby Bonds put in another come-from-behind performance to win the sixth round of the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) by passing Mike Brown for the lead on the very last lap of the two-hour Pro Main event. Having just won round five, it was Bonds second win of the season and the victory put him just one point behind rival Brown in the Championship points.

Bakersfield, Calif., June 9, 2009 Cernic¹s Suzuki/AXO/Dunlop racer Sherri Cruse had another fantastic race at Round Three of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Women¹s Motocross Championship, held at Freestone Raceway, in Wortham, TX this past Saturday, June 6th. Cruse finished 2nd overall and put herself in a tie for third in the women¹s pro championship point standings.

The women took the track at 3:00 pm for the first moto. 20-year-old Sherri Cruse, from Bakersfield, CA, got a mid-pack start, moving through the pack quickly, battling riders and ultimately securing her place on the podium with a third place finish.

In the second moto, Cruse got a better start, passing several riders early on, moving into second place by mid moto where she stayed for the remainder of the race. Sherri picked up her second podium of the season, second overall, and one of the most coveted trophies on the pro series (the Freestone Sheriff¹s Badge).

³The track was great and fun to charge on² said Cruse ³I am staying consistent and feel good about how the championship is going for me².

The 2nd round of the 2009 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship series held at the Famed Hangtown Motocross Facility in Sacramento, CA celebrated its 41st Anniversary, as it continues to provide some of the greatest racing in American Motocross.

This past weekend was an exciting one, as the crowds of people gathered around the Hangtown facility to watch some of the most epic racing battles take place in such early stages of the season. Kicking it off for the AXO athletes was its newest recruit Jimmy Albertson posted

A great qualifying effort as he timed in the eighth quickest time for the day having solidified his spot on the gate.

When the gate did finally drop for that 1st Moto it saw Kyle summers get out to a great start aboard his Valli Motorsports Honda, followed by the

#47  Valli Motorsports Yamaha of Albertson and in tow the #88 of Bobby Bonds as he made his debut on the Yamaha Machine for Valli.

As they hit the mid-way point of the race all three riders seemed to have found their groove as well each other as Summers, Albertson and Bonds were all in a solid battle vying for a spot in the top 15. After nearly 6-7 laps of battle between these three individuals, unfortunately for Summers

his bike could not continue the pace and would later end the Moto 25th  due to his transmission. For the remainder of the Moto both Bonds and Albertson would continue their battle to the checkered flag which saw Bonds grabbing the 13th spot followed close behind was Albertson with 14th.

Moto #2 would be a similar ride for Bobby and Jimmy as both riders were able drop into the top 15 early stages of the race, but a mid race crash from Bonds would find him trying to salvage his race from nearly dead last in this stacked field of riders. Having put on a great charge through the field he would later end the Moto  19th for his effort. Mr. Consistency Jimmy Albertson would carry his momentum from the first Moto and solidify a near perfect race to better his day with the 13th spot.

Congrats to all of the AXO America athletes that tried their hand in Sacramento for the 2nd round of the 2009 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship series and we look forward to more great races as this season builds momentum and heads to the East coast.
