How I got started

I got my start in racing after my dad bought me a brand new KTM 65 for Christmas. I rode in my first race that following spring and I was hooked! My first year I learned a lot, my dad hired a trainer and he worked with me on jumps and turns.

My second year, I followed the Wild West Nationals race series. This series took us from Mesquite NV to Billings MT. This year I gained some competitive edge.

now im on 85s and I have gotten a lot faster. This year iIjust started going to some nationals and I really enjoyed it.

Goals for the Future

My goal for the 2008/ 2009 season is to finish in the top in every thing that i enter. I want to qualify again for Ponca this coming year and I am going to a couple of bigger races including lake whitney,ponca,dodge nationals, and Arizona open am. and i'm going to qualify for lorettas.

Why do you like this sport?

I love this sport because of all the people I meet and the friends that I have made. I feel like I am part of a big family that gets together on the weekends to have a great time.

Some Personal Information About Me:

My name is Austin Jamieson and I am 15 i go to davinci academy. This quarter I am working very hard to bring home a perfect report card. I have many friends who love Motocross. Its in my blood. I live and dream Motocross and my favorite rider is cody cooper or tim ferry i really look up to them. I know if I work hard, my dreams will come true and I will make it to the pros!!!.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

My basic day starts out with getting ready for school at 6:00 am. I get home from school around 3:00 and we head out to our club track to train for at least 2 hours every after noon. on the weekends I Ride at the track when not racing for about 4 hours on saturday and 4 hours on sunday. i also do some cross-training like weights and running.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

thats simple. I  want to be a Proffesional Motocross Racer. After that I want to work in the motocross industry helping promote the sport I love. I told my school career counselor that I wanted be a proffesional motocross racer. they dont even have that in the computer as a career option. Thay dont even believe me when I tell them that motocross racers are some of the best conditioned athletes in the world. They think you just sit down and twist the throttle. I now it will be a tuff long road to make it to the top. I am going to give it all my effort and focus over the next few years to make it happen. Effort mirrors results
