 - The Northern Lights team had a sucessfull weekend down in Fontana taking home three podium finishes. The race was run very smoothly and the course was loose and fast with a long peddle out to the finish and a couple very challenging rock sections at the top.
- In the mens 25-29 sport class Jon Houde brought home his second podium finish with a very impressive 2nd place. This will enable Jon to move up into the expert class for the Deer Valley Utah national in June.
- The mens 25-29 expert class was dominated by Northern lights rider Kass Fuerhelm and team manager Robert Pierce. Kass took home his first ever NORBA national win putting together a race run that was super fast and strong. Team manager Robert Pierce came in a close second place after over shooting a turn and getting a bit loose in the top rock section.
- In the 18 and under Jr. Expert mens class Derek Teal had a few minor mishaps that put him seconds out of the podium. Slipping a pedal in the first turn then going over the bars in the lower rock section, Derek managed to pull it together and still come well in the top ten with a 7th place finish overall.
- Last but not least Pro rider George Stephenson placed a very impressive 15th place in pro mens mountain cross. This was George's first Pro 4x race and with heavy hitters like Dale Holmes and Eric Carter George was looking very strong and smooth.
after qualifying 20th George snapped the gate but got stuck on the outside line around the first turn causing him to get pushed way out wide. despite powering back into position and running a smooth race that was enough to eliminate him from advancing any further. Not too bad at all for his first race with the big dogs. - The next stop for the Northern Lights racing team is to beautiful Angel Fire New Mexico to race on the always fast, always smooth world cup course.
