SPL Car

What Is SPL?

Sound presure level, is what it stand for. What it is, it is how car audio competitions are judged. You pack a car with as many subwoofers as you want or as the class you chose allows. and you with in the rules of each sanction allows. Basicly in a nut shell you are trying to with the subwoofers make the loudest car and win in your designated class. They use primarily a term lab spl meter. To measure the spl. They determine who is the loudest by using a spl meter, basicly a microphone that messures pressure built up by the subwoofers.

Where do you compete?

I will compete acrossed 3 plus states Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and South Dakota. They normally hold the events at car audio shops or the shop sets up a location were it will be held. They have competitions world wide.

What do you have in your Van?

My team and I are putting in four 12 inch kicker L7 subwoofers. In a very big box that will be be behind the divers and passengers seat the woofers will be mounted right at the B pillar firing at the windshield. powering those woofers will be 2400D Directed amplifiers. Lots of Stinger power and speaker wire about $900 of stinger products. will have a Kenwood head unit mounted in the back door to control the system since cant be in the vehicle when its over 140 db's.

What can you provide for your sponsor?

With this car travling acrossed 3+ states it will be providing a wide range of advertising. Alot of people turn out for thease events to compete and even just to come by and watch and check out the cars involved. Advertising would involve displaying your company or buis name acrossed the exterior of the car, and posibly displaying video and car audio related products in the car. Being able to tell consumers about your product. Will have al the sponsored company's names on Team shirts aswell.

What can a sponsor do for you?

We are currently looking for sponsors to provide car audio/video products and upgrades for the car, and posibly money to help the funding of the build and transportation of this vehicle acrossed most of the midwest.
