Hello my name is Adam Prange. I am 25 years old from Mankato, Minnesota. I am currently looking for a sponsorship for my car audio competition car. The primary vehicle is a 1995 ford econoline van, the secondary car is a 1990 Acura Integra. What i am looking for is possibly discounted product, complementary product, or funding to help with the cost of equipment and transportation. "You may think why would I want to sponsor a car audio competition car"? I will tell you why, it is a perfect setting to advertise for you (a business), and even to display your available product. Your business name would be proudly displayed on my vehicle. My team and I will also do word of mouth advertising, at the shows and other places the car will be displayed. If you decide to sponsor myself i would need a copy of your art work or if you have large decals to place on the vehicle.
I will be traveling a crossed 3 plus states Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and South Dakota, and competing at as many of the competitions in each state as i can. I currently have a few sponsors , Osiris shoes, ARS (aluminum retractable shelters), H.O. Alternators,J&J Auto, and kenetic batteries. I will be competing various sanctions of spl competition, Db Drags, usac, iasca, meca. This year will be the first year with this car. I have been registered threw Db Drags since 2000. I have been competing off and on for all most 10 years. I do all of the installing of car audio my self. I have wanted a strictly competition car for many years now and Finlay putting one together.
I have the majority of my product. My team and I are in the process of the install on this vehicle. There will be very big advertising opportunity on this ride. I will be putting graphics of each business and or company on the exterior of this car (hood, entire side of vehicle, roof, windows, and rear of car), and possibly on team shirts as well. We are hoping to get invited to nationals this year with this car, and nationals can have good media coverage there.
More about the Van: This will be completely just a competition vehicle, and go to shows requested by sponsor. My team and I are putting 4 12 inch Kicker L7 sub woofers in a ported box that will come right up to the B pillar. All the amplifiers will be mounted in the side door area in a custom amp rack (four 2400D Directed amps). An H.O. alternator 240 amp running in sync with the primary alternator. With a few power cell batteries for power.Other items that will be included but not limited to: all most 100 feet of Power wire, top of the line stinger RCA's, Clarion in dash video unit, Kenwood head unit to control the system out the rear of the van in the back door. For the out side and upgrades:
You may be curious to what car audio competition is or how it works. There are many different car audio sanctions like DB drags, meca, usac, iasca. Each sanction has different rules and different classifications. Basically you are put into a class determined on the equipment in your car. Some sanctions take into consideration the amount of sub woofers you have in your car and number of physical amplifiers and so on. What a competitor is trying to do is to get the loudest DB (decibel) in there class, the loudest reading determines the winner. How they read this is they use a DB or spl (sound pressure level) reading microphone placed in the vehicle.
An example of two cars competing. Generally there are two judging lanes one for each car. Judges place a microphone inside the car, and when each competitor is ready the judge starts a 30 second clock with in those 30 seconds those two competitors try to get there cars as loud as they can with the installed audio system. From playing music to playing only a frequency that the car is tuned at to accomplish there high numbers. Say the car in lane number one scores a DB of 138.7 and car in lane two scores a DB of 142. The car in lane number 2 is the winner, Generally they run a bracket system where the winners go on to go against winners and the runners up compete against others. To get and over all winner and see who places from the loudest to the quietest. Also Some times they have different events like best of show.
For the most part it is one Giant car show people showing off there cars, equipment and the work they have done. A lot of people come to watch these cars competem, to see what works what doesn't and to see new equipment and get peoples opinions on product. Most of the times people jsut come to hang out and meet new people.
Thank you for your time
