About Me How I got startedAnthony has been around motorcycles his entire life. His father was a well respected and successful motorcycle dealer in New Jersey, for 12 years. Due to New Jersey laws Anthony was not able to practice on local tracks. He did much of his riding behind his home and in the fields of local schools in the area; which was the start of his racing hobby. The first bike he rode was a suzuki Lt-50 "4 wheeler" at 22 months old. He continued to ride the Lt-50 until age 3. He then started riding a PW-50 "no training wheels". We moved to North Carolina in 2004 and within a few months entered his first race in the 50cc shaft class on a PW-50. Goals for the FutureAnthony is now off the 50's and doing very well in the 65cc and 85cc classes. As an 9 year old (birthday 08/03/99), Anthony has almost 1 1/2 years left in the 65cc 7-9 class and places in the top 5 in just about every race. The 85 is growing on him more and more every day. He likes the power and suspention (modified by Powerband) and is finally getting over the fact that bike is much taller than his 65. His motto is "ride it like its my 65". This seems to work for him. He is becoming just as fast or even faster now on his 85 while continuing to get faster on the 65!! We are looking to be very competitive in district 29 for 2008 and 2009 as well as jumping around to other districts. We will also be going to 1 or more nationals while trying to qualify for lorettas. Home schooling has made much more time for practice while keeping him ahead of the game in school. We are very excited and cant wait to start the 2009 season!!! Bio Some Personal Information About Me:I love to skateboard, rollerblade and freestyle bike. Living in Greenville NC, its not hard to get caught up with these other hobbies. Frequently seeing Ryan Nyquest, Dave Mirra and Allen Cook at the local parks kinda gets you going! Describe your style...My style is very consistant. I can run consistant lap times and repeat the same things over and over. Not reckless and crashes are rare while still trying to push the limit. Music? My favorite band is Fall Out Boy. If I listen to it before I ride, I go faster. My dad also bought me a electric guitar and I'm currently taking lessons. What do you want to be when you grow up?I want to be a professional racer. I`m only 8 so this dream is still in sight! Past results and info Anthony has an awsome holeshot and has recieved numerous awards. He took first place in all but one race of the SMX Series! At the eighth race, Anthony was landed on by an adult on a 450 in an opened practice. Knocked him out, banged him up and sent him to the hospital with a concussion and short term memory loss for about 24 hours or so. SCARY. He is doing fine now and doesnt remember a thing. Believe it or not, He is faster now than ever. The next day after the accident, he took holeshots both motos in 4-6 and 7-8, took 1st place in 4-6 and un-officially his first 2nd place in the 7-8 class as a 6 year old.
07/06: Bought a KTM 65 to start practicing on. So far so good..
