Q&A - Self Interview
What are your short term goals for this year?
This year I am currently focusing on this Documentary that I want to make. It will be an inspirational Documentary of myself and the obstacles that I will go through to compete at the 2009 Nationals in Miami. I want to show other women that they can get their bodies in great conditon no matter what the circumstance is. I will take them on an incredible journey of self motivation, sacrifice, and determination. I know it will be an experience that a lot of women can relate to. Its never too late to get your body into shape.
What are your long term goals in life?
I want to open up my own personal training studio in Palm Beach Florida. I want to be able to help others achieve their goals. I want to continue being an inspiration to others by helping them out in a one on one session of encouragement and self motivation.
Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I started at 15 years old in a very small gym located in Orland, California. My brother was my inspiration at the time and he encouraged me to keep going to the gym and I did.
List your competitive highlights:
1999 Sacramento 1st Heavyweight and Overall
2001 USA 5th place middle weight
2001 Ironman/Ironmaiden 1st middleweight and overall
2005 USA 3rd light heavyweight
2006 USA 1st light heavyweight
2007 USA 1st Light Heavyweight
What are you planning for next season?
My current plans for this year is to create a documentary of my up coming competion for next year at the 2009 Nationals in Miami. Im looking for sponsorships to help me in my documented journey towards my Pro Card.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
I would say in bodybuilding its been winning the USA two times in a row. There has been only one other girl that has done that and I wish I could make it 3 times in a row but Im taking this year off to focus on my goals for next year.
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
I've been lifting for 16 years. I started competing in 99 and placed 2nd at my first show. It was so exciting and so much fun that I since then have competed in over 12 shows. It is the greatest feeling to be in such dynamic shape. I inspire so many people at the gym and just from around the world. I have created such a huge fan base that THAT is what inspires me to keep on going. I make a difference for me and for everyone around me. Its a great thrill.
