How I got started
I think it all started when I was 5 years old and I took the training wheels off of my own bicycle, against my fathers will, of course. I learned some lessons the hard way but, that never stopped me, I contined riding my bike and thats where I also learned that flying through the air is one of the best feelings a person can experience. I've always been a "speed freak" since I grew up around several different types of motorsports, quads, motocross, drag racing, dirt-track racing, karting, snowmobiles just about everything imaginable. I was always around them but was never too involved until I started racing on my own once I could pay for myself. My childhood definitely influenced my decision to start racing motocross.
Goals for the Future
My immediate goals change frequently but through all the indecision a few of my goals remain. One of them is to continue racing as long as possible and staying involved with, and promoting my sport. In the previous race seasons I've only raced in one class per weekend. This winter I purchased another quad and an enclosed trailer and plan on racing two additional classes, for a total of three. I also hope to advance through the classes as fast as I can, and to be racing on the national level, competitively, in the next few years.
Since I grew up around motorsports and a very mechanically and technically inclined family I'd like to start a business of my own specializing in several different types of motorsports. At this point I already to all the work on my own quads and would like to turn that into a profession. I believe it's also another way to keep myself involved with the sport and to help the progression of it.
