Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
One of the best road trips I have taken was to Hollister Hills OHV Riding Area. The majority of us only knew each other through MySpace, but we all had one thing in common, kicking up dirt! There was one Rider from Needles, one from Riverside, One from Clovis, and two from Fresno. We deemed it "Chile Fest 2007" due to the lack of chicks! We all had a great time riding the trails and trying to survive on our own cooking! Also, sharing a Toy Hauler after having Chili Dogs for dinner! This is supposed to be a clean story, so I will not go into detail! We all made life long friends and plan future trips.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?
RaceTown 395's California Quad Championship Series. Round 4 May 27th. My frame was cracked next to my left side calf area. At the end of heat one, it completely separated and was beside itself! I asked a new racing buddy for some duct tape. He just smiled and said "I'm not even going to ask" I put the frame as closely together as possible and taped it together for heat two. Everyone got wind of what I did, so everyone at the starting line was cracking up! I finished the race in third place! Hey if a zip tie cant fix it, duct tape it! At the end of the race, on lookers began to call me Duct Tape! At the next race, I didn't have time to buy racing numbers, so I made some out of painters tape! Now they cant decide whether to call me Duct Tape or Painter's Tape!

Why do you like this sport?
ATV Racing promotes a healthier lifestyle. This sport creates both physical and mental discipline. It makes me think twice about having a second cup of coffee! It creates confidence by creating challenges and rewards in areas which are new to me. An example would be rebuilding my Engine's Bottom-end. It came out perfect and the engine came to life with precision power, increasing my riding abilities and confidence. Also, the ATV Racing World is full of people from all walks of life who come together for the love of this sport. Everyone is focused on having fun which makes for some really good times!

What inspires you to compete?
My inspiration comes from the people that believe in me and my 250R. Also, the people that think they can beat my bikes mechanical capabilities. And all of my buddies which fit both categories at www.myspace.com/395rider

Thanks for the hit and 5* back at ya for the cool page and results! No, I haven't raced the Race Town Series - I mostly stick to Off-Road since it's what I know. This is my 2nd race season and I am having a blast. You should check out one of our District 38 Races - the schedule is posted on my site. Good luck to you!! |
