Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I raced a few times when I was a about 11 years old but not much. I picked it back up when I was 19 after some friends started riding dirtbikes. That was all it took.
List your competitive highlights:
I raced Damon Bradshaw on 80's down in Macon, Ga and beat him because he missed a turn and broke his arm.
Competed at Loretta Lynn's in the C class back in 1995. It rained so much that it was cut to 2 motos. I finished 11th overall.
What are you planning for next season?
I plan to hit several of the local tracks in my area as well as some BOSS, SAS, and Mega series races.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
The speed I still have after being off the bike for 5 plus years and coming back at my age.
Q&A - Favorites- Favorite Car: My jacked up Titan
- Favorite Magazine: Any magazine about motocross
- Favorite Movie: Wedding Crashers
- Favorite Trick: The almost front flip
- Favorite Event: Loretta Lynns
- Favorite Rider: Jeremy McGrath
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
The desire to improve, learn new things, and win. I also like to smoke kids half my age.
Employment / Experience Summary
I work in the automotive industry supplying parts to Toyota and Nissan as the AGM of Engineering. It is a very stressfull industry and racing/riding gives me a venue to get rid of the stress.
Why do you like this sport?
It is like a big family. I like hanging out with people at the track almost as much as getting out on the track. But I really like this sport becuase of the excitement of competeing and having no one to blame but yourself for a poor performance.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I have been around motorcycles all my life. My family owns a Yamaha / Polaris dealership in Rome, Ga. Motorcycles and racing is in my blood. I love everything about it. I now have 2 kids and my son wants to get into racing. My wife and I plan to get him a bike on his 3rd B-Day in 2009.
How's Life Treating You?
Life is great. I have a beutiful wife, two awesome kids, a supportive family, a successful career and I get to act like a kid and ride motocross.
