September 19, 2008 FMX East held its first ever contest at the Youngstown, Ohio compound. I had to perform at a show the day before the contest in Canada so I didnt think I would be able to make it. But as luck would have it the 2nd day of the show was cancelled so I booked it home and got a couple hours of sleep before heading down to Youngstown. I got there literally 30 minutes before the contest started. They gave me 5 minutes of practice on the course and it was time for the first class to start. It was a 2 run format which allowed for about 3 laps on the double-double ramp section and a return 3 hit dirt double rhythm section.
