I dislocated my hip again.  My MRI showed a LOT of tearing, fluid, and blood in my hip region.  They had me on crutches for 2 weeks and they want me off the bike for 4 months.   The doctor says I am lucky, that this could have easily been a career ending injury.  I will not be attending Loretta Lynn's this year, but I will be back as soon as the doctor releases me.

I just got back home from my regional in Kentucky at Ballance Motox.  It turned out to be a great weekend, but it did have its rough times.  Practice on Friday was great.  Saturday morning practice was pretty muddy, but it worked in great by my moto.  Concrete starts and I really dont get along and last gate pick didnt help.  I pulled some crazy stuff in the first 2 corners and went from 3/4 of the way back up to 4th.  I went to hit a little double and the bike kicked me and threw me like a rag doll.  I stood up and felt that my hip was popped out of place.  It popped back in as I hobbled over to my bike.  I went from almost dead last to 12th in 4 laps.  My parents made me go to the hospital because I could hardly walk, but as soon as I got into the hospital bed, we recieved a call that they were going to run the 2nd set of motos before the day was over.  So before my mom could get back from asking my dad what to do, i started hopping on my good leg and bolted for the door.  I couldnt walk, but I rode my other motos, finishing in a 3rd and 2nd giving me a 3rd overall.  Good enough to make it to the big show.

I finished 9th this year in womens 12+.  I got 3rd in my first moto.  In my second moto, I got taken out off the start then crashed again and went from dead last to 18th.  I crashed again in my third moto, but I salvaged a 12th.  My goal for next year is a top 3.

I'm leaving for Loretta Lynn's in less than two weeks.  I've been spending at least an hour on my bicycle pretty much every day, running 2 miles, and riding with sweatshirts all summer.  I feel stronger and more prepared this year than I have in the 2 previous years I've been down there.  My goal for this year is a top 10.
