Despite not having competed since late last year, Lewis Parin and Sarah Ann Furniss brought their Evo 3 home to 7th outright SARC at the Toyota Kluger Rally of SA last weekend. The event kicked off with a Super Special Stage at Angaston on the Friday night. Although the Velocity Racing team was off to a shaky start, stalling the car round the first hairpin of the tarmac stage, the atmosphere at the venue was awesome and put the team in a great mood for the first gravel stages on Saturday morning. “As soon as we hit the gravel on Saturday I felt so much more comfortable,” Lewis commented, and their stage times were proving it. Throughout the day the team traded times with some of the top SARC contenders.
