What inspires you to compete?
I'm a competitive person by nature. I enjoy trying to figure out how to make my kart go faster.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
My most embarrassing moment was during my second race. I was running third, Went into turn 1 hard, trying to pass the guy in 2nd. He hit the brakes, I slid right past him, wide into turn 2. He actually waved to me as I went through the tire barrier, into the parking lot, and came to rest right next to my own truck. True story...
Why do you like this sport?
I've wanted to race my whole life. I grew up watching my uncle and cousin race in the "Bomber Class" at Ransomville Speedway (NY). My father never supported it because "theres no money in racing". Now that I'm a little older I can do it myself. Low budget, my kart and my truck. Karting is growing to be very competitive. People take this very serious as if it was NASCAR. It actually is to some.
Describe your style...
Aggressive... I'm not afraid to rub the guy next to me. I'm not dirty. I don't make illegal moves. I'm just not going to back down if someone is pressing me in the corners. I'll also shake hands with anyone that purposely gets me loose into the turn. This is suppose to be fun. I intend to keep it that way.
How's Life Treating You?
My life is treating me great. I have everything a man could want. A wife and 3 little girls. I work an honest 8 hour day and then come home to my family. I have my own yard to mow, truck to wash and a "Honey Do" list that is never ending...
