The 2008 season was very special and exciting to me. I earned 15 victories this season for a total of 29 victories since 2005. I earned 2 Arizona State Championships this season for a total of 4 Arizona State Championships since 2006. I also appeared in the Master's National Track Championships in San Jose, CA.
Many entities and people contributed to the success I enjoyed this past season. I would like to take the opportunity to thank them: PowerBar for keeping me energized and hydrated on and off the bike; Dain Zaffke at WTB (Wilderness Trail Bikes) for the fastest tires for my time-trial and track bikes that I have ever competed with and for the extremely reliable mountain bike wheels; Fairwheel Bikes in Tucson for keeping my bikes winning races; Rudy Project for the way cool sun glasses; Hayes Disc Brakes for stopping my mountain bike when I needed to; all of my other sponsors; all of the photographers that contributed images to my photo gallery and all of my friends, family and fans that have visited this webpage.
Becoming a member of the Saguaro Velo Cycling team and the additional sponsorships from FreeLap and Hypoxico should help me take my cycling to a new and higher level this off-season. I will be posting a 2009 Race Calendar in mid-December.
Thank you for visiting! Come back often!

The Signal Peak Challenge - New Mexico Off Road Series #6 was held on Sunday, August 19. Unfortunatley, I began to experience symptoms of stomach flu late Saturday. I had a restless night and was unable to keep anything down the day of the race. I started the race with every intention of improving as I went along. The race is a 22.7 mile loop and begins at 7200' by climbing up Slick Rock, leveling off briefly and then rising sharply to the top of Signal Peak at 9300' to the Continental Divide Trail and drops down and climbs out via Black's Peak. Being unable to keep any gels or endurance formula down during the climb, I abondoned the race at about mile 15.7 after the climb and took the 4 mile short-cut back to the Start/Finish line. I was even unable to keep water down at that point. Being somewhat embarrassed by my abandoning of the race, I am even more determined to have a great result at Signal Peak in 2008.
