Hello, this is Wyatt’s dad. Thanks for checking out his site. Wyatt is my little racer! Everything to him is a race… from brushing his teeth to getting dressed, even eating…. He is always wanting to race. We got Wyatt started in BMX because he could not put his feet on the ground while riding his TTR50 dirt bike. It was a great move for us; he has done 100% better in school and at home from that day forward. BMX is this boy’s life! His home track is Jax BMX, but he has raced in Daytona, Albany, St. Augustine, Orlando, Highsprings, Middleburg, Okeeheelee, Evansville, Columbia and at the Christmas Classic in Ohio.
Wyatt is a positive upbeat child. He likes to win, but when he doesn’t… he’s the first to say congrats to the winner. Around the track Wyatt picked up the nick name “Trooper” because the first few times he crashed… he jumped up, dragged his bike up the face of the next jump, and peddled on. Time and time again, he’d crash… get up… and finish the race.
His mother and I are committed to support him in BMX as long as he wants to race! This year we plan to run the Florida State series, the NBL South East Regional series and a few NBL National events. As long as his grades and behavior stay positive, we will do all in our power to keep him racing.
Although he’s only been racing for 1 year, he has already been in BMX today (a few times) as well as being interviewed by a local paper, The Gleaner (click to see artical) while visiting his grandparents and the North Jax Monthly here in Jacksonville (June issue).
2007 --- Wyatt finished 5th overall in the Nation and 7th overall in Florida!!!!! Novice here he comes!
