Well, we landed in Kentucky and it's pretty hot and sticky here. It really doesn't matter that much because we're really enjoying the new NBL way of doing things. I really love the track, here. It's kinda long and has great obstacles and really high, steeply banked berms. I love the UCI style random gate, too. But what's really cool is to see my friends from China. Colin and his mom arrived today. Wyatt is here, Quentin is here and we're gonna race each other this weekend. I'm really excited. I'll keep you posted. Gotta get up early tomorrow.

It's the first day of racing and it is really cool. The NBL Grand's is the biggest race of their season and they really make the best of it! They had a great opening ceremony and the national anthem was performed by the lead trumpeter that has opened the Kentucky Derby for the past 13 years! They started the motos with the opening call to start racing that they use at the horse races. The track is really fast and technical. The jumps are big and the berms are really steep and paved. There were lots of crashes and two racers left on stretchers. They have lots of people around the track that run out really fast to help the riders. Intense phantom Ontrack is here and Vaughn won all his motos. Me? I got a 4th and a 2nd in class and two 2nd's in 8/9 Open. So I am in pretty good shape to go to semis and quarters. There are 381 motos today! Lot's of great racing and people from everywhere. I'm making a whole bunch of new friends. Hope you are all doing well. I have a lot of friends racing in Reno. Hope all of you are having fun and racing hard. I'll let you know how I do.

The whole family got up early this morning to head down to Prunedale and Manzanita Park. When we got there it was pretty foggy and cool. Mom had never been to the track before so we were really excited to see what she thought. She thought it was great. Ricky Castro was there early and we said hello. He was really nice and he told me kinda what to do to jump the double into turn two. I've kinda been trying, but mainly manualing. Today, it worked. Ricky made it sound easy and I just did it! I got so comfortable that I even did it during my motos because it was the fastest way through the corner. I was able to jump a whole bunch of stuff today. All this racing and practice is helping me feel really comfortable on my bike.

In NBL you can race a combined class so it was me, Trenton, a 7 Expert and a 7 Novice. We raced three motos for points with no main. It's kinda like total points in ABA. The big difference is that in NBL you can be 2nd overall and still win 1st place points for your own class! That's what happened. Trenton and I raced our butts off! We swapped leads all over the track. I mostly was able to pull him to the first turn but, he'd go underneath me and we'd battle bar to bar for most of the rest of the track. He won all three motos with me right next to him. My dad ran up and said, "That was great racing! Was it fun?" I sprayed him with water! It was hard work! But yeah, it was fun. I had a great time.

What was really cool too was that Jerry Bradford was giving a clinic for all the kids going to the NBL Grands. It was mostly JB.Com kids but there were a couple of others too. Mr. Bradford really wants you to listen and he showed us all some really good things about racing in the mud. He said it can rain there in Kentucky and we'd better be able to deal with it. I also got to see what Mr. Bradford feels is important in racing and I learned a lot. It's going to be really hard to pass me if I'm in front of you from now on. NBL is different than the ABA because there is no 30' rule and no last straight rule. If you are in the lead you can take your line and you can make it hard for the guy behind you to get around you. I felt like I wasn't afraid to race.

So we're going to the NBL Grands and we're all really excited. We hope it doesn't rain but if it does, we'll be better prepared. I know a lot of my friends are going to Reno. I hope you all have a lot of fun. It's gonna be fast in Louisville, too. See you when we all get home! Good luck! And hey, if you've been going to my sight and you're at the Grands, please say hello. We are all learning and racing together. I'd like to know who you are. I'll be racing Open and 8 Expert, bike 830!

 Hi everyone,

Today was a fun day at North Bay. I raced 9 Inter with my friends Parker, Wes and Jake and another racer I hadn't met before. I was able to make first transfer and then  I was fortunate enough to win the main. But it wasn't easy. Wes and Park were killin' it and I had to work really hard to win. Both those guys are tearin' it up in 9 Inter and soon we'll all be experts together. When I got in the car I told my dad I'm gonna have to train harder. Everyone is getting really fast ands they are all as determined as I am.

I'm pretty sure most of my friends are in Roseville right now. I know Tyler and Parker went up and I'm pretty sure Robbie and Lake are there too. There was an SCR in Trukee today. It was too far for us to go because I get to go to Prunedale tomorrow! I love Manzanita Park! There are some really fast kids that I'll race there. I love the UCI style random gate and I love the paved corners. Plus it is really beautiful and you can see the whole track from anywhere around it. My sister loves it because she's friends with Desi's sister and tomorrow my mom gets to see it for the first time. Dad's pretty sure she's gonna love it like we do.

Anyway, wherever you are and whatever you do, have fun. Ride fast and safe... See you soon.

This weekend me and my family went up to Redwood Empire BMX in Eureka. Lot's of friends were there and we made some new ones, too. The track was pretty long and smooth and everyone was really nice. Bryce Bucks parents help run the track and keep it nice and they were really cool. They have a cool snack bar and they had the best raffle of prizes we've every seen at the races, anywhere. On Saturday my mom won the 50/50! Sunday I won a jersey, gloves and grips. There was lot's of close racing and I ahd pretty much fun, all weekend.

Everybody came from Ukiah and it was cool to see them. On Saturday they combined 7 and 8 Expert and we had five riders. I got off to a junky start in the first moto and Isaac got first transfer with Frankie in second spot. Next mot went better and I got the next transfer with Bryce. In the main I got a better gate and blasted down the track. Isaac was behind me until we hit the last straight and we drag raced to the finish. He got me at the line! What an awesome race!

Sunday we had total points for 8 Expert and Isaac had total points in 7 Expert. I got a good gate and won the first moto. Then in the 2nd moto Franlie killed it and took off. I chased him but couldn't get him and he crossed first. In the main I got another crummy gate and Frankie got a great one. I chased him but he just had great lines and pedaled to the win with me in second. Still, I got two 2nds and I had a great time. I had friends from Napa there, too. Mom got some great pictures, we won some money, had an earth quake, what a weekend. On the way home we drove through the giant redwoods and there were trees so tall, I couldn't see the top. Hope everyone had a great time wherever you raced this weekend. See you at the track, soon.

friends and practiced for Reno. Looking forward to having a fun weekend. See you all there.

So Sunday started off a little slow. I made first transfer in Open but I had to race the second moto in class to go to the Semis. I won the second moto and got third in the semi so I was hoping for a good gate in the mains and some great racing. In Open a rider next to Nick and I came over before the 30' line and took us both out. Nick came in 5th and I got the 6th and the kid that knocked us down didn't get up real fast. I don't think he did it on purpose. It's just crazy in 8 Expert Open. In class Nick and Jackson got out fast and I didn't get the kind of "pop" that I've been getting all weekend. They were gone. I was caught in the rest of the pack and got squeezed in turn one. I came out in 7th and really couldn't quite pass before the end of the race. Still, I made all my mains in a big national. I see that I'm getting smarter and stronger. There's always the next race. Cool thing was I got to meet my friend through Sponsorhouse, Skeeter Jr. He's really nice and we all talked about racing and the national and stuff. He's a big kid and really strong. He's blowin' through 8 Inter and I'm sure we'll be racing each other pretty soon. I think it's easier when your top competition is your friend. Anyway, I did my best. I raced my heart out and I had a great time. At home my friend Parker smoked it all weekend! He won Saturday and Sunday. Poor Elkhorn, they had a water main blow up and drench the track. Boy, that slowed everything down! Still, the Fords are so great. I learned so much at their track. Heck, Fuzzy is one of the fastest girls in the whole country and she treats me pretty cool too. Next week is Ureka and a couple of big races. I haven't done a Redline yet. Time to focus on next week and get home and check out the new helmet. Dad said it's really cool. See you at the track...:)

It's was a fun national, today. I made first transfer in both Open and class. In class I didn't even know it because I thought the kid passed me at the line. I did a manual instead of just staying low and it was too close for Jimmy to call. When I went up for the second moto they told me I'd already made the transfer.

In Open I came out of gate 8. In 8 Expert it's really fast. Everyone comes out about the same. I couldn't get over as fast as I wanted and the track is short and a bit narrow. I crossed the line in 6th. I'll do better tomorrow.

In my main things went better. Nickolas got the hole shot with Jackson and me right behind him. We were in the lead going into the last turn. Then Nick and Jackson crashed, Jackson took me down with him and that was that! I got up before them and crossed in 5th place. Oh well, if you're gonna crash it might as well be with your best friends! Tomorrow's another day. I can't wait.

Hi everybody! My mom, me and my friend Donnie left for Tucson, yesterday. I'm so excited to race there and lots of my friends keep telling me I'm ready to make the main in my first big national. Thanks to Mike Redman and Mr. Elliott I think I've got a handle on my gates. Last weekend I won my class at the SCR in Lake Tahoe. My gates have gotten better and that is a place that is really important in a race. Mike got me into the right position and he taught me how important the light is going to be wherever I race. My dad noticed that I was the only one in my class last week, that was watching the light. In the first moto I got out in front right away. In Tahoe it's really important because there's not a lot of places to pass other than turn one. Mr. Elliott helped me understand how to take Mike's stance at the gate and move the right way to get the most power coming out. Now I'm working on my strength so I can take advantage of the short national tracks. I'm glad I'm a good listener.

So we just finished practice here at the Southwest Nationals. The track is indoors and it's fast and technical and short. I think I can do good, here. I crashed in the last turn because it's pretty loose and they aren't spraying it that much. I think Donnie likes it too. The Van Ogle's are here and that's really cool. Kelsey and Lain are always good friends and Mr. Van Ogle always calms me down when I'm nervous. He really believes in me and I don't want to let him down. Sometimes I imagine the line he'd tell me to take through a turn and I do it. It almost always works!

I also want to thank Debbie at SixSixOne. She always answers our questions, sends stuff really fast and never gets mad no matter how much my dad orders things the wrong size! My new helmet came today. I can't wait to see it when I get home. I loved the looks of it all this year. Nobody has one in the area I'm racing, and you could buy four of them for the cost of my Troy Lee! If any of you are looking for an excellent quality helmet for a great price, check out SixSixOne. The shape is cool and not goofy and the new "distressed" design is awesome. Anyway, wish me and Donnie luck, we're gonna represent Napa as best we can. I know all my friends are at Elkhorn for the races, this weekend. Have fun, race hard and tell the Ford's we miss them a bunch!

It has been a great week, so far. I have been having so much fun practicing, riding and racing. It started off with my dad and Logan's dad talking on the phone. Logan is one of my friends from Sponsorhouse. We've been e-mailing for some time now. We share info about shoes and racing and stuff. Logan's dad was really nice and he and dad talked a bunch. Logan is tearin' it up in Louisiana. He's also a really good football player, kinda like a small Dustin Hammond. Logan is just like all of us. He loves to race and he really likes to win. He's not afraid to work hard and he listens to his mom and dad. It is really cool that I have friends all over the country doing the same thing I'm doing. Logan and his dad made us feel really great. I hope that one day I get to race down there. I sure miss going there.

Anyway, I raced on Wednesday and raced really hard with my friends. Robbie and I really mixed it up. He's a really good friend and he is really fast. When we were racing at Oak Creek before the Summer Nationals we got into a wreck and I went down really hard. Robbie came back to see that I was okay instead of just going off and winning the race. That is a good friend!

The whole week has been fun racing with my friends, going to the "four square" to ride and hang out with Tyler and Wes and all the kids. Everybody helps each other and we have so much fun.

Today I raced against all my friends at North Bay. I worked really hard and I was lucky enough to come out on top. These kids are my friends and they are all really, really fast. I know I have to face them each week and even though I try not to think about it so much, I know I have to work harder, think quicker and make sure I "own" my piece of track. Tomorrow a bunch of us are racing the SCR at South Lake Tahoe. It's going to be so much fun. No matter who wins, we'll all be better racers at the end of the day. And wherever you are, so will you.
