Boy it was a great day of racing at Napa BMX. Today was the state qualifier and almost everyone I hoped would come to race, did! Lot's of the moto's weren't decided until the last set of rollers before the finish line. My friend Frankie came down from Rusty Bowl and he beat me in moto one to get the transfer. He is getting blazing gates, these days. I made the transfer in the third moto and I settled down and concentrated on winning the main. During the main Frankie got another great gate. My dad said I am running a taller gear. I don't know what that means but dad explained that I don't spin up as fast as some of the other kids but once I get up to speed I can go faster. I stayed with Frankie and when I got to the rhythm section I was able to get by him. This is my biggest strength. I LOVE this part of any track. I was able to hold Frankie off for the win with our friend Skyler holding down third place. When I get to the gate these days I try to focus like Buddha. I don't know a lot about him but I do know that when he sits down to think about things he can shut out everything around him and focus on what has to be done. Mom really helps me focus. I am learning not to think about anything on the gate except me, the gate and my line into the first turn. This is helping me do better with everything on the track. In the main I beat my best time by 2 1/2 seconds. My dad said that was really great.
James Hardee and his family, along with the Jones' and all the other people at North Bay made everything go great. They kept sign ups and everything else right on time. They did a great job and the track looked great!
A lot of my friends did great as well. Kristi won her main, my friend Jake ran away with 6 Inter. Shane Hoffman creamed his class, my friend Jake was really fast. Lots of North Bay kids did great. I think everyone had a great time. I can't wait till next year!

I love going racing with my family. I am making new racing friends all the time. What's great is that even the older kids are my friends. Everybody helps everybody ride better and faster and every time I go out to practice or race, my friends are there helping me and cheering me on. I yell for them, too. This week I raced a double on Saturday. I raced against my friends Robbie, Cooper and Jake at our home track. I won the first transfer and I also won the main. Then mom brought me to Roseville to race at night. I have been working on my gates and won both my transfer and the main. Then Sunday we went back to Roseville and I had a great time racing my new friends the Elliot twins and 6 Expert Tyler Critzer. The Elliot's are really cool and we're all losing our teeth! Tyler is going to turn 7 soon so I don't think we'll be racing together again until we all turn Experts! The twins Tooth Fairy really pays well for front teeth! It was a great day and I had so much fun. After the racing we had a barbeque with the Brickson's. What a great way to end the week. Next week is the State Qualifier in Napa. I am so excited to see all my friends and all the new racers that will be coming for state points. I hope everyone comes down from the Rusty Bowl!

It was a great weekend for me. I raced 9 Intermediate and won the class Saturday. I felt bad That Tyler Ellis crashed in turn three. He said his ribs hurt and he had a really important little league game, that night. He's a lot bigger than me and he has more experience. I learn something new every time I race him.
Sunday we went up to Elkhorn BMX for their state qualifier. The Ford family worked really hard to get the track ready for all the racers and it was really great. The racing was fast and fun. I got third in the first moto, racing the Elliot twins and my friends Frankie and Robbie. In my second moto I got a bad gate and had to settle for third. My last moto I won but my friends Robbie and Frankie were knocked out by a wind blown Ezy-Up! It actually flew onto the track and creamed them. We had to re-run the moto and I won again, making the main.
In the main it was the Elliot's, Frankie, me, Garret Cross and three other racers. It was a great race! I ended up with a really, really close fourth behind Garret and the Elliots. Garret is flying these days! His dad did something to his bike and it is really working! I was very happy to get the fourth. Mom and dad were really proud because I worked the track and carved my corners in order to get past other riders. Garrett was pretty upset but he is an awesome racer and heck, we're only seven! We are only going to get better.
My friends from Napa, Donnie Gomes, Shane Hoffman, and Casey Jones all won their classes. It was a lot of fun. One thing that wasn't so great was that a boy named Hunter fell and broke his arm in his 9 Expert main. Me, my parents and everyone who was at the track today, wish him well. We hope he'll be back racing soon. He was hurt really bad and he never made a sound. He is really tough. The Ford's and everyone deserve a lot of appreciation for making this a great race and keeping things moving. Lots of friends came down from Ukiah, too. Evan Lampi got second in 9 Inter. It was like having my family there. I really love this sport!

Well, this weekend we all went to two new tracks that we've never been to before. The first was Patterson BMX where they had a state championship qualifier. The track was small and very fast when you are going on the downhill parts. From the gate it is uphill to the first turn. It was hot and they started sign-ups an hour late and kept them open and hour longer. I had some great practice and some tough motos. But, I was able to get second in the main! I was really happy my friend Cooper Miller was there. His dad got him clipless pedals and some cool SixSixOne shoes. He's going to be even faster once he gets used to them! We weren't going to go, but ended up traveling to Atwater where there was a second state qualifier. The track was awesome. All the people that ran it were kind, considerate and really professional. I want to go back soon. I crashed really hard my 1st moto and broke my visor and mashed up my knee. I made the 3rd moto and managed to get fifth in the main. I was really sore and my mom and dad were surprised that I got back on my bike and raced at all. But I know I am not a quitter! I had lots of fun. Sunday, we went back up to Ukiah and I got second for the day, total points. I really love the track and all my friends up there. Kristi is always really nice and I love racing my friend Frankie. He was blazing on Sunday and I was pretty tired from all the racing on Saturday. Next week is another state qualifier at Elkhorn, another track I love. I can't wait.
