Well, I have been kinda slow in starting this season. With my home track being rebuilt and the rain, I haven't been riding very much. Today, was actually the first pretty big race I've been to this year. We just finished our track in Napa and as you already know, it was built by the AWESOME Tom Ritz. We've been hearing that the best track in all of CA is Fresno, so we had to go. I really like racing NBL, too. So was the track cool? Oh yeah. It is a very NBL technical track with a high start hill and this year they paved all the turns (like Napa). The track is pretty fast, not as fast as Napa, but pretty fast. You have to be a good bike handler to do really well, here. Racers that can jump do very well here. I'm just getting my jumping together but I know how to go fast without leaving the ground so I did okay. I got passed in the second moto by Brian Jarrett because he did this really good jump, got a shove from the backside which gave him the speed to pass me on the outside. I really liked the track and the whole Fresno facility was awesome with a jump park and a big mountain bike trail with these cool jumps. Man, I didn't want to leave! I got 2nd on the day and I had a great time with my dad and sister. I even was lucky enough to buy a new Troy Lee History from "Stumpy". He's a really nice guy and when my dad paid him compliments I think he got a little embarassed. My dad thought the track looked pretty awesome and he asked me what I thought. I told him I liked our new Napa track better because you didn't have to be a "pro" to get around it. Our track definitely will help you become a better rider. Actually, so will Fresno. They're both designed to make us all better riders. Dad says that's how Tom Ritz builds them. If you get good on these tracks you will be good anywhere in the world and with BMX in the Olympics that is the way it should be. I begged dad to let me go to Roseville for the double pointer, tomorrow. I can't wait to see my friends and race with Parker. He needs one win to go Expert. I'm psyched for him. See you all there!
