Although it was an ordinary weekend for me, I had lot's of fun. I like to work really hard for the people that coach me. It started last year at Jesse Langland's clinics in Napa. I listen and I learn and I get better. Mike Redman's camp in Tulare was awesome. But when I got home, it really showed. I'm kinda lucky because I can kinda see them (my coaches and friends) and imagine them telling me what line to take or elbows out. I really works for me. Mike was great and everybody noticed the difference. See you soon!

My whole family and I went to Tulare this past weekend so that I could train with Mike Redman. We've known about him since I started racing and went to my first National in Reno. Mike is the "Voice of BMX" but more importantly, he is one of, if not the finest trainer of BMX racers the sport has. At least that is what many of our friends have said. It was hard for me to miss all the racing at my local track. North Bay BMX had it's SCR, a Redline qualifier and a race for life all on the same weekend. In a way it was cool because all the kids that were at camp got more time with Mike. Brooke Crain and her parents organized the whole thing and they had food for us and water and G2. The track was really great with a cool rhythm section. And man, there were some super fast kids there. Answer Factory, Redman, FMF. Lain Van Ogle was there to train and to help along with Jordan Miranda. It was hecka fun. We worked our butts off all weekend. Mike works you really hard in a fun way. I learned so much and had so much fun. We probably did 100 gates a day, each! Saturday night I was too tired to race and crawled into bed after dinner. I was so tired I didn't even hear my dad snoring! On Sunday we worked just as hard and had just as much fun. There was even a relay and Lain picked me to be on his team along with Dustin Hammond! I was exhausted and had a great time. I almost never got off my bike! Then at the end of school, I raced 9 inter and made first transfer. I lost in the main by an inch or so. Mike gave all us kids a cool goody bag with Redman stuff. Maybe some day I'll be fast enough to race on his team. I loved the whole weekend and so did my family. Mike is really cool. He 's going to announce the Worlds in May and he's doing the Olympics, too! He's going to be the John Madden of BMX! In Texas I qualified for the Worlds and my mom and I are going. I am so happy that Mike will be there, and Mr. Bradford and Donnie and Joey. It's cool to have friends in far away places. Before we leave we're going to work with Mike again. But next week it's Tulare! I'll see you all there. Let's have some fun!

Well, I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the country racing. I've been to both Phoenix and De Soto and had some pretty good runs. I have learned a lot and in Texas that was that if you let them, they will run over you. I came back from Texas with a more aggressive riding style. Texas kids are tough and I learned that I am, too.
I had a crummy Saturday because I caught my sisters cold and just couldn't get enough air in my lungs. I didn't really finish in cruiser and didn't make the main in class. What was weird was that my dad kept telling me it was the fastest I've ever been. Heck, I didn't even make my main! So, this morning I wanted to go to Oak Creek to get my last win to go X. I raced 9 Inter with my friend, Cooper and three older boys. Cooper got the first transfer, I got the second. In the main, Coop beat me out of the gate to the first turn. I was on him into turn 2 and dove under him to hit the rhythm section right beside him. Side by side we went and just before turn 3 I squeezed him to the inside. He tried to push me up in 3 but then Texas kicked in. No way! Elbows out I forced him back down, took the line and took off. I won and got my Expert standing and now the really tough stuff starts. Today it was me but it could have been Copper just as well. We've been racing for a year and a half together with a few other really other fast kids. We all push each other all the time. Some people think we're the fastest 8 Inter class to come along in the past few years. If that's true, then I'm really lucky. Competition makes you fast and it helps you learn. If I'm any good it's cause I work hard and my friends work hard. On any day Cooper. Robbie, Lake, Jake, Nikolas, Jackson, Frankie... are there to give me a run for my money. I love it. Now I'm an X. I know the work starts and I'm pretty psyched to rise to the occasion. I'll see you at a track, soon!

It is Thursday night and I know that tons of my friends are on their way or are about to leave for the nationals in Oregon. Dad and I really want to go but mom says we need to relax because of all the racing I've done in the last month. But boy, I wish I could be there with all of you. I hope you all do great! I know that Robbie, Lake, Jake and the Larson twins, the Elliot's, Tyler, Scott, Cooper,Bryce, man just about everyone is going! And you know what? I hope you all win and totally show everyone that our part of CA is just about the best there is in BMX!
