This weekend we raced at Roseville on Saturday night and at Santa Clara on Sunday. It's a lot of driving and it makes for a tiring weekend but it's fun and all the racing just makes you stronger and smarter. Saturday didn't turn out like I'd hoped. I came unclipped at the gate in the first moto and flipped (me and my bike) face first onto the ground. There was a nice man who helped pick me up and he was worried my hand got clobbered by the gate so he picked me and the bike up and I had to wait till the next moto to race. And I did race. And I raced my next moto, too. I didn't make the main and that wasn't so fun but I got up and tried. My parents and my little sister were really proud of me. So were my friends. I'm learning that there's always the next race or the next track. Sunday, we went to Santa Clara and it's such a great place and the weather was really awesome. There was just a little breeze and six riders in my moto and you know what? I was fortunate enough to win. There were some really great kids in my moto and we're all really close in speed but it was my day, that day. Why? 'Cause I got up and got on my bike and put Saturday night behind me and did what I love to do. I LOVE to race BMX. I just love it and it's fun. I guess I'm growing up. Have a great week and practice hard. I will...

Well I finally got better so I could start riding my Redman. I've been out practicing and getting instruction from Ronnie Anderson and racing and it's officially true. My Redman is killin'! It's an Expert and it's longer than my Intense was by quite a bit. It took a little getting used to because of that. Dad loves that I have a bike that I won't have to switch for a couple of years that basically weighs slightly less than my smaller Intense frame. My bike shop says that the back isn't quite as stiff as the Intense but I haven't noticed. Although carving corners seems a bit easier. It fits me better so my gates are a bit more natural.
I've taken it to a few races and I feel just as fast. Dad says it's "perfect" for me. My friends Will, Wyatt and Lake and I have been practicing really hard. We're all bummed that next week is Napa's last practice day. From now till next year it'll only be open for racing on Saturday. There's lots of really fast kids in Napa, Sonoma and other towns really close by. You'd think they'd help us by keeping it open at least one afternoon a week. Like Wednesdays, when all the schools have 1/2 days. Now we all have to travel really far to practice and that's kinda hard to do on school nights. For us it's at least 1 1/2 hours each way to Roseville or Santa Clara or even the Rusty Bowl. Those tracks are open four days a week. Why can't Napa?
So, I hope you're all doing great. Congrats to Robbie for doin' so good at the Disney Cup! See you all soon at a track near you. 'Cause mine won't be open...

Dad picked me up from school early on Friday. I tried to be fine but I just couldn't. I fell asleep on the picnic table and the yard duty person had to wake me up! She took my temperature and it was 102! Now it's Saturday night and it's still 102! I haven't eaten or anything and I missed the double points race in Napa! Dad and my sister picked up my Redman framed bike and brought it home for me. It is an Expert and it weighs a little less than when I had the Intense, which is a Jr. Ex. It looks so cool and I can't even get on it! If you are racing this weekend, enjoy it! It stinks being sick and missing out on racing and everything! Gotta get more rest now. See you when I get better!

Like lot's of my friends I keep growing. It's making my dad crazy because I'm outgrowing my frames pretty fast. All of our friends have been doing a lot of research on all the top frames in BMX and dad even got a spread sheet with all the dimensions and weights of the top bikes. Friends have been buying frames from a few companies and when they get them, the weights have been way off. I've always wanted to ride a Redman frame. I really like Mike and he's been really cool to me and my mom, dad and sister. My favorite riders have ridden for him and my friends Lain and Kelsey have been on the team and really love training with Mike. Well, Mike finally got in a new batch of frames. His are made in the U.S. and they are awesome. All the spec's are right and more importantly, the weights check out. For us little kids my dad thinks the weight is important. So we're building and Expert and I'm hoping to ride it this weekend in Napa. I can't wait. A bunch of us bought frames and we're all going to be riding Redman next year. They should probably call 9 Expert Redman Expert next season becaise so many of us will be racing class and cruiser Redman frames! Mike is great to the sport and he deserves to sell as many frames as he can. Go see Mike if you want a Redman, that way you're sure he's the one taking care of you. See you soon. Race hard and race safe!
