I think everyone was a little surprised on Saturday when they checked the message for Napa. They were actually going to race! It had rained a bunch during the week and the double points race had been postponed due to rain the week before. When we arrived we were blown away by how the track looked and felt. James Hardy and his band of volunteers came through with yards of plastic and shovels and rakes and dedication. Not only were we all able to race, we were able to race on a smooth fast track and the racing was great. I am finally feeling good after my fall in Canada and some new gear and a new jersey helped me feel relaxed, secure and confident. I was able to win the first transfer and despite feeling a bit tired, got to relax until the main. I really wanted to win my class and got a strong gate and into turn one in front of my friends Wes and Cooper. They are great guys and we are pretty evenly matched so anyone can win. Today was my turn with Wes in second. My dad called us the GT boys. We ride the same bike. Outside of AA pro you almost never see two GT's winning one, two and you don't see enough of them anywhere. They are great bikes with a good feel and a little more wheelbase. Anyway, my dad thought it was cool.

Sunday we went to Santa Clara and I raced total points. My friend Garret Cross was in my class and we got to race again after being in SoCal. Today, I felt very relaxed and the track was great! My Uncle came with his family to see me race. Man, it was the greatest! Santa Clara is awesome and they work hard at making everything go smooth. The track is almost as long as Norcal and has a trick rhythm section. You can pump it but you can also pedal all the way through, especially if it's windy. I got some great gates, felt safe and won both motos and the main. Garret was so cool and we really like racing each other. At the end we hugged each other. We may be tough competitors, but we are friends, too. He's so fast, next time it could be him. Our moms cheer for each of us. It's pretty cool.

So these were wins 23 and 24. One more to go Expert! Wednesday we're heading to Orlando for the Disney Nationals. I am really excited. Hope to see you there.

This weekend my mom and I went to San Bernadino to race the SoCal national. I had a lot of fun at the races and made lots of new friends. I saw my friends Nickolas and Jackson and Garret Cross was there. The racing was fun and the track was shorter and fast. I managed to make the main Friday and Sunday. Mom broke my bike down and put it back together really well. Now we know we can go anywhere without a care. The whole family are becoming mechanics. Dad said it rained in Napa so I didn't miss the Double Points racing at home. Also, we found out from the ABA that I was scored wrong in the State Championship series. I found out I am actually number 6 in my class! That was a nice surprise.

It has been a while since my dad and I worked on this blog. There has been a lot of practicing and a lot of racing and we are all learning about this great sport. My knee feels much better, now. It hasn't hurt in a while. I have been trying to improve my skills and work on my bike handling. I was fortunate enough to go to the Redline Cup. It was amazing. The track was the longest I have ever raced on and it was laid out really cool. It has six turns and a fast gate with a downhill first turn. The people who run the track did a wonderful job. There were over 100 motos on Sunday, 97 on Saturday and it all ran like a Swiss watch. I got 3rd on Friday and Saturday but, banged the gate on Sunday and didn't make my main. Family came both Saturday and Sunday and I had my birthday and turned eight. I raced eight Inter on Sunday. My friend Frankie is really having a great summer. He won all three days! I am so happy for him but, I am working really hard at home so he doesn't have it too easy in the future. Actually, we're all turning 8 and Expert pretty soon. It won't be easy for any of us.

I raced Norcal on Saturday and got 2nd behind my friend Lake. He is going really good and he's just going to push me to be better and faster.  Sunday I got to  race my friend Cooper and he almost got me in the main. That was # 22! I was feeling really weird all day and when my dad took my temperature it was 101.5! He couldn't believe I even raced. I got to see all my friends and gave Jackson a big hug. My racing friends are the best! The year is winding down and we are all just trying to get some points. Oh yeah. I had enough points in the State races to earn state #7. I am so proud. Anyway, see you all soon at some double pointers!
