First off, Crankworx is a go this year. I am not sure exactly what events I will be competeing in, but one will for sure be the Open Dh.

Secondly, new photo of a big gap drop in my photo section from the Thomas Vanderham ride in Edmonton.

Thirdly, I entered a photo contest a while back and just got word that they want to publish my photo in thier upcoming book. Also I am in the semi finalists for the International OPen Air Amteur Photo contest.

Fourthly, I reached 5000 views today.

Finally, Leduc is getting a real skatepark. No more  metal and wooden ramps that sound like they are going to break. No more driving to other cities to ride park. I will have a real one, a big one, a cement one - 15 minutes on bike from my house. Also it is going to be built right across from the police station, so it should be clean.

Also there are a few items I need for the upcoming race season, and if anyone out there wants to help out I could really use it. A new mtb full face helmet, a roof rack that accepts 20mm thru axles, Single Crown dh friendly fork (Fox 36 Van?).

Reminder to people: I have lately noticed alot of people not honouring their sponsors contracts. I've seen people saying that their sponsors suck, downgrading other people, running competitors companies products instead of their sponsors etc. All of the contracts so far that I have read on this site have said that you 1)run your companies products and not support/endorse/use other companies products 2) never talk down your sponsors, and 3)be a good representitive of your company, not just in results but in Public realtions too. (making degrading comments hardly fits into this category).

When you think of a sponsored pro... can you think of one time where they say that their current sponsor sucks, or where they make fun of other people? I can't.

Just a friendly reminder as most of you are doing a great job at being a rep for your companies.

Okay, since everyone has been asking lately about how to customize your page, here it is. This is just a quick general overview, but it should give you the basics. If you need more help you can leave a comment or add me to your friends and send me a message.

Back Ground:

  1. On your page click Change Profile Theme.

  2. Click Customize The Theme

  3. and then under background theme, type in your URL of the picture you want in the back ground.

-eg.  Mine: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g231/Terriflow/lightning.jpg

-To obtain a URL if it is an online picture, right click on the desired image and select properties. Your address will be stated there.

-If the picture you want to use is not online or cannot be hyperlinked, you can save it as a file on your computer and upload it at a site such as photobucket. From there you will get the URL

Profile Slideshow:

1.      Go to a site such as Rock You and upload your photos to it. Using there slideshow designer you can customize your slideshow.

2.      When you have finished designing your slideshow click save. After a few minutes a page will load up giving you an HTML code. Right click and copy this code.

3.      On your SH profile page click Add Content To This Page

4.      Click Add Text

5.      In the box provided, paste the HTML code you obtained when you saved your slideshow.

6.      Depending on what site you made your slideshow on, you may have items that can be edited out of your slideshow (Such as Rock You Links and Logos). These are generally attached to the end of your HTML, and they take time to figure out for each site. If you do not want to, you can not edit any of this out, you will just have a few website links at the bottom of your slideshow screen.

7.      Click the Source Button

8.      Click Save

After this you should be good to go with the slideshow, I have had problems here and there though.

Music on Profile:

1.      Obtain a music/music video code at an online site such as Urbn Mix Music Video Code. When choosing which site you want the code set up for, specify other.

2.      . Right click and copy this code.

3.      On your SH profile page click Add Content To This Page

4.      Click Add Text

5.      In the box provided, paste the HTML code you obtained

6.      Same as the Slideshow, you may want to edit out undesirable links etc.

7.      KEY TO MUSIC VIDEOS: Most often what you will have obtained is a music video code:

E.g.

<br /><embed name="RAOCXplayer" src="http://www.urbnmix2.net/asx1.php?id=38327" type="application/x-mplayer2" EnableContextMenu="0" ShowStatusBar="0" Width="300" height="250" DisplaySize="0" AutoStart="true"> </embed><br /><a href="http://www.urbnmix.net" target="_blank">Music Video Code By Urbnmix</a><br /><a href="http://www.urbnmix.net/vid.php/video/rise_against_ready_to_fall/" title="rise against - ready to fall music video code" target="_blank">rise against - ready to fall</a><br>

-You want to change the Width to “0” and the height to “0”, so that the video does not play, just the music. Though depending on where you obtained the code, this may not allow you to use the music anymore. If it doesn’t work, Try typing in 1 and 1 instead of 0 and 0.

8. Click Source and Save.

-Video Code Zone codes generally do not work on SH.

I hope this quick explanation helps out. If I have made any errors feel free to let me know. If you need more help, feel free to message me.

Oh Yes, above all, this takes a lot of practice. It takes a lot of experimenting to get a hang of this.  So if it does not work the first time, try modifying the code to see if that makes any difference.

Several photos of me racing were featured in the Loeka photo contest in the favorites section. They are the 4th and 3rd last photos in the gallery. Both photos are of me riding the Red Bull Psychosis.

They are also the first and second photos in my slideshow after the Psychosis Advertisement Slide.

It was sweet. It was my first Dh race, and really my first experience doing downhill riding besides some freee riding at Rabbit Hill and a little in Nordegg. All my runs were clean. The day before the race my runs were coming in around 13 minutes. Race day pulled around and I ended up with a time of 9 minutes and 43 seconds. I got 12 out of 15. I was stoked becuase I was the only ht, and the only one with under 5 inches of suspension. After my run I knew i could have done better, gone faster and wished I had a chance at another run. It made my day when the announcer came on after my categorey and said..."Terri-Anne Howard is going to be the next Weber(sp?)". Next year I plan to go out about 3 or 4 days in advance because only getting in 4 pre runs was defintaely not enough. If I can get out there a week in advance I am pretty sure I could win the big rippers category. I also want to get a dualie and race tyhe 14k sandbaggers as well next year.
