Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I got started by my bro. He is a diabetic so he took up biking to keep is blood sugar even. And then I wanted to try it too so I got my own bike and started racing. Hey now im 2nd in the Nation!
List your competitive highlights:
My biggest highlight was 2008 Road Nationals. I came in second in the crit and third in the road race! It was in Orange County CA and it was the best place for nationals to be ay yet!
What are you planning for next season?
Next season I plan on making podium at nationals as a 13 year old. That would be really great! Now, listen up all my age group racers. In the 2009 year I will do very few junior races! So thats one less person to worry about! My long term goal is to go to worlds when im 15 and win at 18 or even before. Its hard and a long road but with help from my coach and team. I can do it!
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment is placing 2nd in the criterium against a 200lbs. kid. I also placed 3rd at road, witch is weird because I didn't know I was a sprinter! But trust me that wont be the last biggest accomplisment, not on my list!!!
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
I really like the feeling you get when your up at the top of the podium. I like working for something, because when you get what you worked for you it makes you feel so good. I like the whole sport including the people in the racing community.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Do I train...of course what good biker dosn't? I usually train about 5-6 days per week in the winter and in the summer it varies alot because of all the racing your doing. Training is very important to me. If I dont follow my coach's inscructions, I can either get tired or do too much and burn out.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a pro-bike racer and be in the Tour de France. I would like to go to worlds around 16 and win them at around 18.
Why do you like this sport?
I like the burn when you sprint, I like the fatigue when you TT. Its just an awesome sport you can meet new people, do new things and have tons of fun well riding your bike!

Ok heres my mandatory comment:
You did great at nationals. by the way I believe you must be 17 to go to worlds, no matter how good you are.
