What has been your greatest experience off the track?
In 2007 our race team received an E-Mail from a professional race team located in Vindelin Sweden asking us to host them at the Amsoil Duluth Nationals. It was such a privilege to meet Christian Salemark, Viktor Herten, Marcus Evensson, and Anna Henriksson. They are without a doubt some of the nicest, down to earth people I have ever met, not to mention unbelievable racers. Their pit crew consisted of Leif, Tommy, Martin and Peeter (that is how you spell his name). They managed to make me feel welcome, always involving me in everything they were doing. I loved listening to them talk, their english wasn't that good, but they had really cool accents. Anna, Kaaren, and Onika really liked my FXR clothes and had to pick some up at the vendors booth for themselves. My mom took the girls shopping for the day after Thanksgiving sales, talk about funny!!! They were in total awe of our stores, and all the sales, buying a ton of stuff, including a big screen TV. They couldn't get over how cheap things were in the United States compared to Sweden, my mom kept asking them, "how are you going to get this stuff back to Sweden"? You won't believe this, they had to get a shipping container because Leif bought a truck too. They gave me their flag of Sweden they had flying on top of our our trailer to remember them by. I still keep it in the race trailer to this day. We had such a great time together, I learned so much from them, as I'm sure they learned a few things from me as well. We became very close during that week, and continue to keep in touch. We hope to host them again this year. I miss them all so much and can't wait to see them again. It was truely an experience of a life time.
Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
When I was 3 my brother started racing snocross, of course I worship my big brother and wanted to be just like him. I asked "Santa" for a race sled of my own that Christmas, the rest is history.
List your competitive highlights:
When I started racing at the age of 4, I was the youngest competitor in my class. I went on the be the points champion that year as well as the following 3 years. I became the first 4 time consecutive points winner in a class. When I began competing in Go-Karts I caught on very quickly, qualified for the state finals my first year, going on to win.
What are you planning for next season?
We are in the shop building my new oval sled. In 2009 I will finally be old enough to compete in the Jr. Novice class. I'm very excited, can't wait to practice and race on the ice.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Even though I'm only 10 I feel like I've had so many already. I was the 4 time consecutive points winner in stock 120. I am now the points winner in 120 champ. My first year of Kart racing I went on to win the State Championship. My Pop-Warner football team went into the playoffs, and onto the state championships undefeated. We won state with a score of 26 to 8. I can't imagine having a better life.
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
My dad, I know I have his support, love, and understanding. He believes in me and inspires me to be the best at whatever I do.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
When I was 7 years old I broke my leg in 2 places while trail riding. I was placed in a full cast, my doctor told me my race season was over. My next race was coming up in 2 weeks, with my final race of the season 1 week later. I was leading in points and knew I had to take the green flag in order to stay in the competition. Our mechanic fashioned a bracket to put my leg in so I get down to the staging area. When they pulled the green flag, instead of only moving the 2 feet I was suppose to, I continued to race with our mechanic and flag men chasing after me, I placed 2nd.(my parents were a little upset with me) Two weeks later I had a doctors appointment to have my cast changed, there he was holding the newspaper article with my picture on the front page talking about me racing with a cast on. He was not too happy with me to say the least, I was very embarrassed! All I kept thinking, how did he get that article, the race was 50 miles from here??
Describe your style...
I am very self motivated, focused, and not easily influenced by others.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Absolutely! My dad and I go to a local race track 3 times a week as well as practicing on our own race track at home. I don't watch regular TV, couldn't tell you what a Hanna Montana is, other than what my friends have told me. I watch some form of sporting event, otherwise it's race tapes, always trying to figure out the best lines. I'm always in the shop working on race equipment learning whatever I can.
Why do you like this sport?
Snowmobile racing came to me naturally, I was raised in a family that was either riding a snowmobile or racing one. When I started Kart racing I found it to be exciting and challenging, anyone will tell you, I love a challenge.

Weyauwega, WI? I would love to travel up there, but money is definitely tight right now. If you could make it to one of the ISOC (isocracing.com) races here in Michigan, that would be wicked. My dad and I always have a heated trailer with food and drinks so you're welcome to anything! Have a great season and make sure you put those guys to shame =D
