Well, I fought on December 2nd- it wasn't for the Bantam Weight Title as hoped for, but they said if I won this fight then I would get the title shot early next year. Got to love promoters man lol! Anyways, we both came out strong in the first round, and he tried wrestling me from the clinch and worked hard for a takedown that he never got. I blasted him with some awesome leg kicks that I know hurt him, and we traded some good punches. Back into the clinch, and he tried headlocking me (LOL!) and I have about a decade of wrestling under my belt, so when I felt him go for it I locked up and waited until we hit the mat to roll through on him, and I came up on top in side control. I then worked him up against the cage and started working punches to the body and face, and due to a rule infraction on my part, we were stood back up. Back into the clinch, so I had my back against the cage and he threw a hard knee square in the goods! I don't think it was on purpose for what I did to him, but who knows. Plus, I wouldn't blame him if it was intentional anyways because i might have done the same :)  So, I took my time to recover because DAMN DID THAT HURT!!  I got some sympathy from the very hot looking Hooter's ring girls that were sitting right behind my cornerman, flirted a little bit and then I was ok. We went back at it and shortly thereafter the round was over. Round 2 begins and I'm not feeling the same intensity from him for whatever reason, maybe I was going harder I dont know. It could've been the couple good punches to my face and the knee to my junk finally woke me up in there and I had my head in it again. Thats what I'm told by my coaches is what it looked like. Back to the fight, a little more trading on the feet, but I'm definitely getting the better of it again, and I work him up against the cage. He starts driving me back across the mat and I went for an over-under throw, except I ran out of room and just tossed him up against the cage. He's no slouch, he was a good wrestler too, and this time he re-threw me immediately and it was looking good for him except that I'm a jiu jitsu badass and hit him with a half-butterfly guard elevator sweep as soon as my ass hit the mat [ya, I might be a little cocky ; ) ]. I dropped him right on his back and came straight to mount and blasted him in his face until the ref stepped in and called it by TKO at 2:30 in the 2nd. I got on the mic, thanked the 100 people that came out to see me and called out the current champion that declined my challenge once already, and come to find out, he hasn't answered multiple attempts to contact him by the promoters about the next fight in January. He can't dodge me forever- I'll get that belt sooner or later George Roop! Anyways, it was a good night and I had some fun. Still undefeated at 3-0 as a professional. Now I want my title shot!  And a special thanks to Luis Gonzales for being in my corner and showing support! Thanks Gonzo, that win was for you!!
