How I got started
Well, I first saw the UFC when I was 12 and I thought it was the coolest thing that I had ever seen. I continued to follow it through high school, and I wrestled all throughout high school as well. I attended the local shows here and thought that I would be able to do it, so I started doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2002. After 3 1/2 years of that, I signed up for my first fight scheduled for July 2005. Well, my opponent backed out a few bouts before ours so I didn`t get to fight that night- a big disappointment. I was approached later that year to fight on the January 2006 card. I had about 2 months of solid stand-up training for that fight and even though I was inexperienced on the feet, I had a good enough wrestling and BJJ game to hang on my feet, and to get out of some bad positions on the ground before I wound up on top and dropped some elbows from side control and forced an eventual verbal tapout. That`s was my debut, and that`s how I won the Superfight belt. I`d say I`m off to a good start...
Goals for the Future
My goals for the future are to get some sponsors, make a bigger name for myself, and to eventually become a UFC Champion!
