Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I got started this past fall on a ttr125 in my boyfriends backyard. I rode for 2 weeks then felt I was decent enough to race the last hare scrambles race of the season. And now I am on a rm 125 and racing next season.

List your competitive highlights:

I've only competed in one race so far so my highlight would be finishing 3 out of 3 in the womans class.

What are you planning for next season?

Next season is my first full race season so I am looking to go out and have fun, finish every race no matter what place, and to get better every weekend.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment was finishing my first and only race. That was a big deal for me because going into it only one personal felt I could finish it. And even though I got 3 out of 3 I felt like a champ because I had proven them all wrong. :)

Q&A - Personal

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I would like to be an Early Childhood teacher in the future. I love working with and being around little kids.

What inspires you to compete?

What inspired me to start competing was the fact that people said I couldn't do it. Only one person thought I could finish my first race. And even though I came in 3rd out of 3 people in my class, I felt like a champ because I had proven all of those people wrong.

Music?

I like country music. I listen to rap and rock, but country is my favorite.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment was at my first race ever. I was racing a ttr125 with no big wheel kit. That was pretty embarrassing because of how big I am and how little the bike was. But the real embarrassment was on the start. There were three of us in the class and when the flag dropped the two other girls took off and it took 3 kicks for me to get going. That sucked.
