Hey Just wanted to let everyone know how I finished for the 2008 Masters of the Mountains season. I got off to a really ruff start. I didn't get the bike set up right till mid season and had two really bad wrecks, a nasty high-side on the 3rd race weekend followed by a low-side the next race weekend. The first wreck was in the KOM GTU class and I missed another race in that class due to problems with the bike so I decided to drop out of that class since I wasn't going to be able to place in the top ten. I also dropped out of the Endurance GTU class due to my low-side weekend and my teammate falling of the face of the planet. I wish I didn’t have to drop out of those classes but I wanted to be able to put my all in the KOM GTO class and the Middle Weight Superstock class since I was doing well in those classes.

I finished the season 6th overall in the Middle Weight Superstock class as well as the KOM GTO class awarding me the number 6 plate for Utah and the Masters of the Mountains.

I would really like to thank all of my sponsors for there help and support.

  Thank you,
Fast Line Race Tires/ Michelin Tires, Lockhart Phillips USA, Hotbodies Racing, Race Tech Suspension, Corporate Suspension, Vortex, Evo MX, Panolin America, Sidi Boots, Chicken Hawk Racing, Suomy Helmets, Yamaha Motorsports, Utopia Optics.

Masters of the Mountains

Hey Everyone,

I thought I would Just let you all know that I Just had my first Expert road race weekend last weekend and I think I did quite well seeing how I was on my new 07' Yamaha R6 that I had not gotten any track time on prior to the races. The bike felt very very different then my last years race bike(05' R6). My new race bike only has the suspension set up on it which is full race tech suspension built by Jason Eldredge of Corprite Race Suspension, Jason has it set up so well it rides like a cadi. I only have a K&N air filter and Graves smog block off plates so the motor is way slow but I am hoping to get that taken care of by the next race. I was running a little slower lap times on the east track of Miller Motorsports Park then I have last race season but thats because I wasn't used to the bike but started to get in the grove on the last race. My best finish of the weekend was in my last race, The King of the Mountains GTO(1000cc) where I finished 11th and got down to a 1;41 flat. I was pushing it on the Michelin Race tires but they never gave out. I have a few new pics up in the new album(2008 Race Season) and all of my results for the weekend.

I want to thank Jason Eldredge of Corprite Race Suspension, and Scott Larson of Fastline Race Tires for getting me all set up. I also want to thank all of my other sponsors for there support and help as well, also couldn't do it with out my pit crew. Thanks to all of you out there.

Hey everyone,

Last weekend was the American Lemans Race at Miller Motorsports Park. During the car races they allowed us bike guys to come out and race for the car people and show them what were all about. I went out for the practice in the morning at like 7:45am and felt pretty good Just taking it eazy. Before the Race I was thinking about swapping my tires and going back to the Michilen PR5 PR2 set that I had, at that time I was trying out a set of super corsa slicks that I got for free. At the start of the race I was able to move up like 6 or 7 bikes Just going into turn one and mind you I was grided all the way in the back. I moved up a few more spots and then my tires started to give out and slide real bad so I thought I would back off Just a little bit instead of coming in early. One lap to go I was coming up on turn 7 which is a tripple apex off camber with a little bump going into it. Right as I set up and dove into the turn another rider Travis thought he could beat me to the turn and tried to come up the inside and we hit. His bike went down and my bike went to go down but his was kinda holding me up a little and then the bike came apart and I was on two wheels again, had some really bad tank slap but was able to keep it up on two wheels but ran way off the track into the dirt. Im still not sure what place I came in or what my lap times were for the race but it was not for points or purse money or anything so I was there Just for practice and fun which I had, so all in all it was not that bad of a weekend.

As many of you that were at round 2 of the Masters Of The Mountains, You then saw how I didn't have a very good weekend. It started when I was not able to get any sleep the night before and then in the Enurance race I lost my shift lever bolt about three laps into it. I didnt make the grid for my Amatuer GTO race because I was fixing my shifter. The Novice GTO race I started in 30th grid due to the fact I dont have points in Novice cause I race the Amatuer for points. Round three will be much better because I should be able to have suspension by then I hope and maybe some real brakes. Take care everyone

I thought I would be nice for those that would like to know when they can get a chance to ride on the track named "2006 Motorsports Facility of the Year". So below are a list of Apex Track Days that are being held at Miller Motorsports Park as well as the price and what configuration they will be running on the track. These guys are the best to ride with and I know Im going to try and be out there as much as possible.
