AGP Round 5

I'll get right to the point, yesterday was not my best ride. I have not been riding for about the past month and I payed for it big time. I was definetly rusty, making stupid little mistakes that cost me big time. The race started out good. I was second off the line, just missing the hole shot by about 3 feet, that was taken by my main competition #134 Ryan Miranda. At one point in the race I was in first, I passed Ryan who was stuck in a mud pit. But thats when I started making my mistakes, choosing bad lines, bad throttle control, and I was getting tired much more quickly than usually. So I took a bad line trying to get up a hill and had to bull dog the bike down and start over again. In this time Ryan passed me and with my newfound determination quickly shot up the hill. I was closing in on him in the woods, I am definetly a little faster than him in the woods. I was really close to him at one point, just waiting for an oppurtunity to make a move. But then we werer brought back out to the motocross section, where he has an edge on me. He began to pull away and I sped up but made another silly mistake and fell over. I guess I must have grabbed a handful of throttle when the bike was off because it was flooded and just wouldnt start. I had to wait a bit and by then positions 3 and 4 came by. A few more kicks and button pressing and the crf came to life. I was off but by then the pack was already gone. I stayed in fourth the rest of the race but it mustve been a heck of a battle for the top spot with Ryan ending up in third.

So now with my 18 points that 4th brought me I have 106 points and Ryan, with his 3rd place finish, has 107. Needless to say its a close battle for first but I am more determined than ever to train hard and ride A LOT. I really really want this title, really bad. Im gonna give it my all and I know Im going to come out on top.

I just want to say thanks to all my sponsors who have helped me out this season: Panolin, Tag Metals, Blitz vision, Ready Racing, Risk Racing, Evo Mx, SixSixOne, and Sunline. You have all helped me out immensley and I cant thank you all enough.

Mid-Season Report

Whats up everyone. I thought I'd report in being that my season racing the Atlantic Grand Prix is half over already. This being my first year racing, I have been riding since '03, I am super stoked that I am currently the points leader in my class, C Lite four stroke. Its been great season so far and I'm loving the whole racing scene. Everything about it is sick, the competition, the intensity, and the feeling of accomplishment I get from racing.

The gncc in somerset was definetly the most difficult but at the same time it was also the most fun. The track was a helluva lot tougher than what the regular AGP tracks throw at you and the challenge was amazing. That was probably my best race, placing first in my class. The whole atmosphere of a gncc is just amazing. It has the ability to be fun but yet very serious at the same time. It was a great experiance traveling out there and seeing all the pros that I look up to do what they do best.

Now, back to the big picture. Though I am leading, its a close battle between me and second place, Ryan Miranda, with only two points difference with me having 88 and Ryan 86. So needless to say I still have a lot of hard work to do and I need to put in some good rides, starting with this weekend's race. All of this will hopefully be made easier with my new bike that I just picked up, a 06 yz250f. Im stoked about finally getting a new bike to replace the aging crf-x. This weekend will be the last race for the crf so Im gonna go all-out to make it one worth remembering. I'll post up how I did probably on Monday.

Thanks for your support,
