We started our first clinic of the 2009 year! Spring Jump Clinic at the Lake Elsinore Motocross Park on March 28th.  Teaching the class was professional trainer Mike Fedorow (owner of So Cal MX Training) Pro rider Jiri Dostal and myself Shelly Beckstoffer. Along with very supportive track hands on deck for all our needs. The track was closed exclusively to the training event for four hours of fun! We had 20 riders. Ranging from mini bikes to big bikes, beginners to more advanced and all ages from about 6 to 60!! Kevin Reno of MotoxKidz and his rider members were some among the list that attended. The weather was perfect for a day for riding.  We started out with a riders meeting. Then quickly got everyone on the track for warm up laps. We broke the riders out accordingly and discussed everything from momentum, chopping power, body position throughout the jump, visual habits and much more. In no time at all all of the rider were progressing and really showing improvement. During the breaks, MIke would discuss the physics of the bike, body transfer of weight and how this makes the bike react.   Everyone wanting to learn more at this point and had smiles under their helmets. So throughout the day we continue to observe and work one on one with each rider and train. The last part of the class was awesome! Mike introduced full starting gate race training. Complete with dropping the gate, first turn drills and first lap drills. The adrenaline was flowing at this point and everyone was on it!! As the riders would line back up on the gate, Jiri Dostal would talk with the riders  discuss his personal experiences of what it takes mentally and visually, best gate pick, etc. to get down the track for the "hole shot".  It was awesome! Everyone learned and there were no bad incidents to report. They cant wait for the next class!

We be having many more clinics targeting different fundamentals. We also have private lessons everyday. If you are interested in training with the best. Please go to www.socalmxtraining.com or call Mike Fedorow at 951-461-7087 or Shelly Beckstoffer at 951-833-2158.  For more info on Kevin Reno's Motoxkidz organization, please log on to www.motoxkidz.com.

2008 has been an amazing year for so cal mx training!! We have been sponsoring many race series, such as the Yamaha Dealer Series, Upcoming Transcal CMC Series and the MotoxKidz series out at the Lake Elsinore track. If you are at our So Cal Tracks there is no doubt you haven't seen our box van out there. Don't be shy. Ride over and introduce yourself. Have a question? Please ask. Need a hand with a bike repair? come by. That's the kind of people we are. Mike Fedorow has been training Pro's, industry test riders and our upcoming stars for over 18 years on a full time basis. Not many trainers have had the success that Mike has and it all comes back to the passion he has for the sport along with a coaching ability that is one of a kind. He was fortunate enough to race with best until knee injuries got the best of him. He is by far a unique trainer and once you meet him, you will be speechless on what he knows. He is the human bible of motocross. Whether your a weekend rider or want to follow your dream of becoming a pro, please come over and talk with myself or Mike (you would of wish you did sooner). I am one of the very few and fortunate to have been lucky enough to have Mike take me under his wing and share his training experience with me. What an awesome job we have! Teaching people to ride mx and ride well. To see riders go from a beginner to a amateur level is so self gratifying. IT TRUELY IS THE BEST JOB EVER!!!
