Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

Well My Grandma (RIP) read an article in the Napa Valley Register, she said go check this out, it was 2 months before the track even opened, we (mom, dad, and me) went out to the new Napa track and met James and Tracee, ever since we have been there. My Dad raced bmx when he was young and so did my uncle Bob!

List your competitive highlights:

5th place state champ for 6 year olds last year, a few 2nd place National wins, and now, going X at BlackJack nationals that will be my all time fav moment!

What are you planning for next season?

Being an X and making all the others watch out for me, I have a lot of skills, eveyone knows who I am and I have the best attitude in the world even when I am not winning! Not like some of the other riders that think they are that good!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Coming back after only racing 2 weeks and breaking my left elbow for the 3rd time, come by some time and check it out, it is one crazy looking arm! And I broke all of them on some sort of bicycle!

My name is Seth Ponciano, my parents nicknamed me "Bubba" when I was 3 months old, and now Mom calls me "Bubbalicious" well cause my booty is bubbalicious! (only a Mom would know)...I started riding on 2 wheels when I was 3 1/2...I started racing BMX in October of 2006, after 2 races I broke my elbow for the 3rd time, and had to take off riding for 4 months until it healed.  Now I am back and I just went Intermediate.  I love racing BMX! I have made a lot of new friends...This season I joined Napa Valley BMX and am really excited about my future! The team is really awesome, and I expect that I will go expert before you know it...I only need 7 more wins (as of 7/08)! I am a great well rounded kid...Come see us if you get the chance!
